Thelma ''Janette'' Futrell, 94, of Jonesboro, AR passed away on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Craighead Nursing Center in Jonesboro. She was born on July 7, 1929 in Keiser, AR to Ray and Ruby (Morrison) Porter. She was a member of Pine Log Methodist Church. Janette was a dietary worker until her retirement and loved Nascar, the St. Louis Cardinals, quilting and cooking.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 14 years, Gilbert; her parents; a daughter, Melissa Suzanne; a granddaughter, April Estrada; a great-great grandson, Jace and brothers, Robert Porter and James Porter.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Suzette Davidson; son, Steve Futrell (Connie); grandchildren, Stephanie (Todd), Steven (Amanda) and Jessica; great grandchildren, Hunter (Marissa), Bryson, Erick (Chasity), Bailey, Elizabeth, Larrah, Allyson and Creed; great-great grandchildren, Brayden, Adilynne, Kassen and Amari and many other friends and loved ones.
A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Monday, January 8, 2024 at Pine Log Methodist Church with Michael Lloyd officiating.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made in Janette's name to Pine Log Cemetery Fund at 11656 Highway 49N. Brookland, AR 72417.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Steven Futrell, Todd Long, Bryson Jones, Erick Estrada, Creed Powers and Trevor Freeman.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.

Mrs Futrell, was a name I’ve heard all my life and what a sweet woman she was. I was a class-mate of Steve’s at BHS for 12 years. Steve and Suzette where and still are good friend of mine. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Mrs Futrell.
