Mr. Steven Virgal Day, 63, of Mountain Home passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. He was born December 11, 1960 in Peoria, IL to the late Virgal and Janet (Clark) Day.
Mr. Day worked most of his life as a paramedic and paramedic instructor. He contributed greatly to the paramedic program at ASU Mountain Home, Baxter Regional Medical Center, area schools and throughout the community. He currently worked for the American Heart Association as a senior volunteer manager. He was a member of the Christ Community Church in Mountain Home and was an avid member and donor to the K-Love Ministry.
Steven is survived by his daughter, Ashley (Lee) Johnson; son, Blake Day; grandchildren, Jordan Jones, Kinsley Dicks, Carter Dicks, Greyson Johnson and many nieces and nephews and family friends that loved him.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Stephanie Day and two sisters, Lori Cantrell and Becky Whitehouse.
Steven's legacy will forever reside in the hearts of family and friends and all that were touched by his passion for education.
Visitation for Mr. Day will be Monday, January 8, 2024 from 6-8 pm in the Chapel of Roller Funeral Home of Mountain Home.
Memorial Service will be Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Roller Funeral Home of Mountain Home.
All services are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.

My thoughts and prayers go out for the family of Steve. My you have comfort in knowing that he touched thousands of peoples lives through his own hands and through his students he taught. He will be missed but his mark on this world will live forever.
Steve was a good friend and colleague. He was an asset in EMS and for the AHA. Rest in peace Steve.
Steve was a wonderful mentor, teacher, Paramedic, and dedicated his life to the community. He will be dearly missed and has touched so many throughout the years. His legacy will live on for generations to come.
I was sad to hear about Steve's passing. He was such a smart, funny and caring person. He was my EMT and Paramedic instructor and also my friend. My deepest condolences to all his family and friends, and to all his past students and colleagues. He deserves a metal for putting up with all of us!

I’ve known Steve for a long time. I attended dozens of ACLS classes taught by him. He helped relieve the anxiety of those classes. So sorry to hear of his passing, the medical community has lost a treasure.

I worked at the hospital in Mtn. Home with Steve for a long time and always admired his friendly manner. He was respectful of everyone. I could tell he was a dedicated teacher. I will miss him.
