December 7, 1929 - December 30, 2023

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mildred M Davis of Alexander, Arkansas, affectionately called Millie by her friends, siblings and acquaintances, Mom by her sons, Mammaw by her grandchildren and Great Granny by her great grandchildren. Millie was born in 1929 in England, Arkansas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 30, 2023 at the age of 94. She was a devoted Christian, loved her family, being outdoors, gardening, going to church at Lorance Drive Church of Christ and visiting both the Benton and Bryant Senior Citizen Centers. She delighted being around her family, friends and loved meeting new people. Millie's personality was so loving, wise and practical along with one of compassion and strength and had a great mind for organizing, coordination and supervising.

Millie's life works included working for the Arkansas Highway Department, driving cars for rental companies and babysitting. She was the type of person that was always in the thick of things and always on the move, never wanting to be idle.

Joined in matrimony to D.B. Davis in 1944 at the age of 14 and maintained their union for 50 years until his passing on April 23, 1994.

Others that preceded her were Harem Moody (father); Susie Moody (mother); Annie Ruth Morris (sister) and Robert 'Sonny' Moody (brother); Larry Davis (son); Danny Morris (nephew), Tracey (Tray) Moody (nephew), Ricky Moody (nephew); Andrew Munnerlyn (great nephew), Jimmy Austin Moody (great nephew) and Victoria (Tori) Moody (great niece).

She is survived by her Son, Bill Davis (Carol) of Alexander; Grandchildren, Bonnie Hipp (Randy) of Mabelvale and Billy Davis (Judy) of Alexander and Great-Grandchildren, Cameron and Ely Davis.

She was the oldest of 13 children: Beatrice Tully of Bryant, Maudie Powell of Humnoke, Norma Crawford of Humnoke, Brenda Paul (David) of Stuttgart, Bud Moody (Gloria) of Conway, Jim Moody (Laura) of Sheridan, Jerry Moody (Shirlene) of Scott, Lonnie Moody (Diane) of Lonoke, Harold Moody (Debbie) of Vilonia and Gary Moody of Benton. Along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who also survive her.

Visitation will be at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home on Monday, January 8th at 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service celebrating Millie's life will follow from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Graveside service will be held at Pinecrest Memorial Park at 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Terry Moody, Jerry Moody, Brian Moody, Robert Moody, Darrell Powell and Tony Powell.

The family wishes to bestow a deep heartfelt Thank You to the caregivers, that are forever a part of our family, for the detail in care and love they provided our beloved. I’m so sorry for your loss I know she will be greatly missed. She was a wonderful soul that I met a few times. This world will not shine as bright now that she is gone. But I know she is in Heaven celebrating and reuniting with loved ones.

Aunt Millie was a very special lady. I remember her always having a smile and happy. I will treasure the memories of her and Uncle Dee coming to our house visiting when I was a little girl.
