Sad to hear of Buddy’s passing. I think he was the only one of us kids who grew up in the neighborhood who still lived there. He will be missed.
Please accept our condolences for your loss. He was a good man and will be greatly missed. I have known Buddy as far back as I can remember. My brothers and I spent a lot of time at his house when we were kids. Buddy was always kind to us, ready to share a joke or provide us with helpful and timely advice. He and my father, David, were close friends and supported each other throughout their lives. We will be thinking of you as you celebrate his life.
Randy-
I was just informed Saturday, 12/30/23, of your father’s death. I am so sorry for your loss. God Bless you.
Buddy,
I'm glad I got to see you recently at my parents estate auction.
I'll really miss you. You were the best!!!
Your friend Chris
Mr. Wornock was part of my childhood and life. As good a friend and neighbor as anybody could ever have. Thanks to him for cutting up fallen trees and limbs (in his 80's) and stacking them for people without being asked and without people even knowing in some cases. Thanks for running extension cords (his own) across the street during a power outage so another neighbor could turn something on. My mom could tell you more stories. Was best friends with just about all of his sons at some point growing up. They are all pretty much knuckleheads but I can forgive him for that (wink). I wont forget Mr. Wornock. You will be missed by many sir. Paul
Larry,
So sorry to see this and learn of your loss. Prayers and good thoughts to you.

Sorry for your loss praying for you and your family
Buddy will be dearly missed by all of us. He has always had an encouraging word for me throughout the years; and, we loved to joke with each other.
Buddy was “one of a kind”. I first got to know him in the 1960’s when he was a lineman. I later enjoyed hearing him tell of his trips to NY to buy antiques. When in our Life Group he enjoyed sharing his experiences in the military. He was a great help to us by conducting an estate sale when Mary’s cousin died. He was a dear friend and will be missed. May our Father bless the family with fond memories in the years ahead.
So sorry to hear of Buddy's passing he was my mother Pauline Hodge -Rickett cousin. His mom and her were 1st cousins. God Bless and comfort each and everyone.
Larry,

Sorry about the passing of your dad. I remember quite a few Saturdays in the late 1970s running around his antique shop/store/warehouse looking at all the stuff with my mom and dad.

Buddy...my Father in law for 10 years! His passing caused all kinds of emotions within me...I wish I had had more time with him. Buddy was always there for me. He was a devout Christian. He loved his boys, their wives, & his grandchildren. I have lots of memories of DIxie Cafe & LOTS of Mexican restaurants...HE LOVED! Buddy was one of the hardest workers I have ever known. He made multiple trips to New York and Canton, TX to buy and sell antiques. When I had a life changing surgery & recovery...he let me work at his shop, even though he didn't need the help. He let me trade working to go toward a antique baby grand piano I wanted that he got in New York. Everytime I sit down to play it, I think of him. This piano will go to Camille, his first granddaughter, when I pass. Lots of memories of bridge games, Florida camping trips, & helping me open Jana's Ginger Jar at the antique mall on Cantrell. Buddy's eyes would light up when he talked about his antiques. He loved each one, and had a hard time parting with any of them. I will miss Buddy. I am comforted that he is in Heaven. My sympathy to all his boys and their families. Jana Yates Shelton
Mother remembers teaching Buddy in Sunday school. He was a good help and support for her in these last years. We appreciate his attentions to her. He was a good man.
