Carol Loretta McKinley was born in Ida, Arkansas on November 13, 1946.
Carol passed away on December 19, 2023 in Conway, Arkansas. Carol and Buel Mckinley lived in Conway, Arkansas the majority of their 57 years of marriage.

Carol was a devout Christian and enjoyed reading her Bible and sharing her testimony of Jesus Christ with family and friends. She enjoyed having company at their home in Conway, Arkansas. Carol was a quiet and humble person who loved to live a simple quiet life while quietly helping others. She was in Eastern Star for over 40 years. She loved to cook and kept an immaculately clean house.

Carol loved to read and crochet, she loved flowers and her pets. She also loved to share family picture albums with her friends and family members. Most importantly Carol loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her love for Christ was first, then her deep love for her Husband of 57 years Mr. Buel Wade Mckinley of Conway, Arkansas.

Carol and Buel had one Child, Melissa Mckinley-Tew. Carol was a strong lady who cared deeply for her beloved daughter, Melissa ''Missy'' McKinley-Tew and infant Grandson, Justin Tew.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Kelmer and Lola Byrd; one Brother, Guy Byrd; one daughter, Melissa Mckinley-Tew; Grandson, Justin Tew and Nieces, Diane Bryd and Glenda-Jo Byrd.

A few scriptures that Carol would want her friends and family to read include:
''For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life''. John 3:16

And God shall wipe all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be pain: for the former things have passed away.'' Revelation 21-4.

Carol is walking the streets of Gold with her daughter, Missy; her Parents; her brother and her Grandson, Justin. She will no longer grieve or suffer from pain. She will be missed by many who loved her. Carol will be especially missed by her husband, Buel Wade Mckinley, until they are joined together eternally.

A gathering and Celebration of Life will be held at Crestlawn Memorial Park on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 1:00pm. She will be laid to rest peacefully next to her daughter, Missy, and infant grandson, Justin.
