of Pine Bluff, AR
October 3, 1962 - December 16, 2023
Tari Lynne Hanson of Pine Bluff, AR went to her heavenly home on December 16, 2023. Tari was born to Charles Franklin Hester and Sherry Lynne Hart on October 3, 1962 in Little Rock, AR.
She worked at the Mayflower Police Department where she retired in 2018. Tari then went on to work for the Arkansas State Police in Pine Bluff, AR. Troop E. During that time, served as a telecommunications specialist and driver's license examiner.
In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her husband, Lane, children and grandchildren. Tari loved cooking, her favorite thing was to bake. She always had to have the brightest yellow car. She always had a smile on her face. Her smile would light up any room she walked into. As everyone has said, to know her is to love her. She fought a good fight and if she was here today, she would tell you she is the winner either way here on earth or in heaven. She's no longer suffering.
A few words from Troop E:
Tari was a beloved member of the ASP family and consistently spread positivity and faith to all that she encountered. Tari's daily walk was a perfect example and testament to the core values of the Arkansas State Police. She was a bright light in a dark world and her absence will be felt by many. Tari loved and adored her job and coworkers. She was very proud to be a part of the ASP.
Tari preceded in death her parents, Charles and Sherry; her brother, Chuck Hester Sr. and nephew, Poppy Meeks.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 10 wonderful years, Terry Lane Hanson; her children, Jerry Meeks of North Little Rock, Amanda ''Sissy'' (Marshall) Brittain of Mayflower, Cassie Meeks of Conway, Matt (Red) Meeks of North little Rock, Jessica (Terrel) Goodwin of Ruston, La and Jeremy ''Sarge'' (Jill) Hanson of Vilonia. She had 14 grandchildren and 11 grandsons who are all listed as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers and 3 granddaughters, Kynnley and Kynnedy Vaughan Mariah Porter and a host of nieces and nephews. Tari loved and considered many as her own family.
