Mr. Joseph ''Joe'' Troy Amos, 77, passed away December 12, 2023, at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was born on September 19, 1946, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to Woodrow and Lavern Amos. He married Kathleen ''Kathy'' Bradford in Chillicothe, Illinois on June 14, 2008.

After graduation, Joe served in the Army as a helicopter pilot and attended college while working for Braniff Airlines. He relocated to Texas where he had several business adventures. After retiring he returned to Pocahontas, Arkansas. He was a proud veteran, past president of the Bull Shoals White River Chamber of Commerce, and an active member of Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he had served as a deacon. He was also a world traveler, NASCAR enthusiast, and Dallas Cowboys fan who loved to bowl, hunt, and fish.

Joe is survived by his wife Kathy; 2 sons: Joshua Amos (Kelsea) of Aubrey, Texas and Derek Amos of Lewisville, Texas; 3 step-children: Christy Hancock (Norman) of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Angie Freeberg (Rick) of Gassville, Arkansas and Phillip Bradford (Nichole) of Gamaliel, Arkansas; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 brother: Larry Amos (Paula) of Rockford, Illinois; 1 uncle: Bill Anderson (Geneva) of Pocahontas, Arkansas; 1 niece Shannon Amos of Rockford, Illinois, and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, January 5, 2024, at Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.
