Mary Elizabeth Stumbaugh went to be with the Lord on December 8, 2023 at the age of 93.
Mary is survived by daughter, Darlene (Steve) Smith of West Memphis; her son, Billy (Connie) Woods of Marion; nieces, Cindy (Barry) Hodges of Wynne, Arkansas and Renee Hopper of Selmer, Tennessee, Pam Carbajal of California: nephew, Alan Adomyetz of CA; grandchildren, Tracy (Jordan) Thomas of Memphis, Tennessee; Todd Smith of San Jose, Costa Rica; Elise Woods of Dallas, Texas and Lindsey (Daniel) Amaya of Raleigh, North Carolina; great-grandchildren, Taylor Thomas, Kaitlyn Thomas, Andrew Thomas, Caleb Thomas, Addie Grace Thomas and Brooklyn Thomas all of Memphis, Tennessee and Mila Jane Amaya of Raleigh, North Carolina; great- nieces, Kristen (Joe) Akers of West Memphis, Arkansas and Courtney (Kolt) Watson.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Lee Owens; her father, Leonard W. Adomyetz; brothers, George and Bobby Adomyetz and sister, Betty Adomyetz and her husband, Herman Woods.
Mary graduated from Coffee High School in Florence, Alabama in 1948. She worked as a nurse for over 30 years. She was funny and full of life, reigning as the Queen of the family. She loved her family so much and in her younger years she was always willing to help with family needs.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, West Memphis since May of 1976.
The family would like to thank the administrators and staff at Willowbend Nursing Home in Marion for their kindness and loving care during the preceding three years.
Visitation for Mary will be held December 15 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church, West Memphis with the memorial service following at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Duke Cemetery in Darden, Tennessee at approximately 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to: Together We Thrive at First Baptist Church, 200 N. Missouri St., West Memphis, Arkansas 72301.

We are so sorry we want be able to attend the funeral. You know how much we loved that sweet cousin. Mary, Betty and Bobby will always hold a special place in our hearts. We had a lot of good times with those three. We love y’all and prayers for the family.
