W.A. Wells of Trumann, AR passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023 at the Woodbriar Nursing Home in Harrisburg, AR, at the age of 82 years. He was born September 29, 1941 in Poinsett County, AR to Oval and Mary (Hill) Wells. W.A. graduated from Bay High School and was of the Christian faith. He worked for over 20 years in the maintenance department at Arkansas Glass until retirement. He loved fishing and most of all, being with his family that he cherished deeply.

W.A. was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 54 years, Shirley (Rouse) Wells; a granddaughter, Holly White and a niece, Norma Kay Garrett.

Those left behind to cherish the wonderful memories of W.A. include his two sons, Jeff Wells and his wife, DeDe and Jamie Wells; three daughters, Teresa White, Misty Crow and Mary Beth Poe and her husband, Billy; five grandchildren, Josh (Gloria) White, Jeremy White, Jeff (Shelby) Wells, Jr., Luke Anderson and Rydar Davis; along with two bonus grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and a sister, Lillian Faye Garrett.

Chapel services will be 10 am Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro, AR with Bro. Kenneth Doke officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.

Anthony Renshaw, Timmy Renshaw, Tyler Renshaw, Shannon Rouse, Carl Holt and Chevy Sullivan will proudly serve as pallbearers. Devin Renshaw, Slater Renshaw, Gunner Renshaw and Jason Taylor will serve as honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests lasting memorials be made in W.A.'s memory to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation at www.komen.org

Visitation will be 5 pm to 7 pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
