Mae Lorene Smith, age 74, of Harrison, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023. She was born June 2, 1949, in Witt Springs, Arkansas to Lonnie Lewis and Francess Etta Lou (Homer) Harmon. Mae was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Angie England; her first husband, Gary Smith, and a daughter, Renee Fisk.
Mae was a member of the Christian Life Center of Harrison. She married Samuel Smith on July 4, 2009, at the Christian Life Center. She retired from Millbrook Distribution Services, was a lifelong volunteer at her church and church school and she was an avid gardener and expert seamstress.
Mae is survived by her husband, Samuel Smith; three sons, Vance Smith (Angie), Gerald Smith (Regina), and Samuel J. Smith (Marcia); three daughters, Francess Smith, Jessica Nalley (William), and Melisa Hatman (Timmy); two sisters, Mary Wilson (Jim) and Lunnie Henson; two brothers, Ray Harmon and Doy Harmon (Joyce); seventeen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two more on the way.
Visitation was on December 6, 2023, at the Christian Life Center, 1225 W. Stephenson, Harrison, Arkansas.
Service was on December 6, 2023, at the Christian Life Center, with Tim Hampton officiating.
Pallbearers were Samuel Smith, Vance Smith, Gerald Smith, William Nalley, Timmy Hatman, Jerah Little, Daniel Smith, and Schyler Smith.
Honorary pallbearers were Ray Harmon, Doy Harmon, Jim Wilson, Carl Smith, Mae's nieces and nephews, and the Christian Life Center Church family.
Burial was at Crossroads Cemetery, Deer, Arkansas.
