Ocie Marie (Schouweiler) Horne, 90, of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023 in Fort Smith. She was born on June 14, 1933 in Paris to her parents, Ben and Ella (Gray) Schouweiler.
Ocie was a retired nurse's aide and helped her husband, F.H. with their poultry farm. She loved to spend time with her family, making quilts, canning goods she harvested from her garden, cutting firewood with her chainsaw and riding her four wheeler around her property.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Fred H. Horne, Jr. and one brother, Wilburn Ray Schouweiler.
She is survived by two daughters, Freda Schriver of Paris and Barbara Lowe of Paris; two sons, James Horne of Paris and Billy Horne of Paris; eight grandchildren, Stacy, Craig and Kevin Schriver, Kelly Morris, Ryan Hill and Chris, Jacob and Kole Horne; seven great-grandchildren, Kendra, Korbin, Emmitt and Alexis Schriver, River Morris, Bella Underwood and Anakin Horne and numerous friends and extended family members.
A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Kenny Thompson. Burial will follow in Baxley Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Stacy Schriver, Craig Schriver, Kevin Schriver, Kelly Morris, Ryan Hill and Chris Horne, Jacob Horne and Kole Horne.

I am sadden to hear of Ocies passing. I had the privilege of working with her as a CNA. She was such a loving person. She gave me a very pretty Properly glas fruit dish. I will always remember her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all .

Dear Freda and Barbara! You are in my thoughts and prayers. Unfortunately, I never really knew your Mother, but always heard from the family that she was a hard worker and a very kind woman. I always enjoyed seeing her at Ellsworth decoration. You girls were sure good to your Mom! I know there has been a wonderful reunion in heaven. It's hard to say good-bye to my last aunt.....I've known her since my Uncle FH brought her home to meet the family when I was 5 or 6. My sister and I were fascinated by her dangly earrings, LOL.

My condolences to the family. I have many great memories with Ocie, from working with her for many years to going to the VFW with her. I will never forget her voice, her laugh. She was definitely a wonderful person. So sorry for your loss.
