Erma Dean (McCarty) Rackley, 81, passed away on December 2, 2023 at her home in Mountain View, Arkansas. She was born in Drasco, Arkansas on January 1, 1942 to the late George Julius McCarty and Vada (Davis) McCarty.

Erma was married for 63 years to the love of her life, David Leon Rackley. She worked at Blanchard Shirt Factory but her greatest joy was the work she did at home for those she loved. Erma enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, quilting, needle point, canning and fishing. Erma will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends that she held so dear to her heart.

Erma is survived by her children, Erma Faye (Harold) Baker, Pam (Jerry) Partee, J.L. (Sheila) Rackley, Don (Allene) Rackley; brother, Junior McCarty; grandchildren, Heath Baker, Josh Baker, Amanda Smith, Niki Ivy, Rodney Partee, Lisa Paschal, W.L. Rackley, Katie Greenhaw, Brandon Rackley, Jonathan Herrington, Kari Brewer, Patience Holt, Brinttany Rackley; forty-two great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; along with many extended family and friends.

Erma is preceded in death by her loving husband, Leon Rackley; son, Brian Rackley, daughter, Kay Rackley; parents, George and Vada McCarty; step mother, Ethel McCarty; two sisters, Hasel Thomas, Hazel Carlton and two brothers, Loy Bowin McCarty, and Clois Ray McCarty.

Graveside service are Monday, December 4, 2023, 2:00 PM at Friendship Cemetery located in the Ben Community, near Drasco, Arkansas with Ronny Rackley officiating.

Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.
