Lewis L Goacher, 92, of Velvet Ridge, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 26, 2023 in his sleep at home. He was born March 17, 1931 in Hazen, Arkansas to the late David Franklin Goacher and Louise (Wilson) Goacher.
Lewis was retired from Arkansas Power and Light after 33 years of service. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and served as a Staff Sergeant aboard a troop ship in Greenland. He attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in Forrest City, Arkansas where he served as a Deacon for thirty-four years. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Bald Knob from 1999 until present.
He loved to sing and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was an avid Arkansas Razorback Fan, but most of all he loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Sandford Goacher, Cecil Goacher and Billy Goacher; two sisters Helen Coffey and Doris Jensen and a great granddaughter, Evane Grace Goacher.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Annie (Kelley) Goacher; daughter, Kelly (Doug) Swindle; son, Wayne (Tonya) Goacher; grandchildren, Tonya (Jason) Novak, Chris (Whitney) Swindle, Dr. Steven (Erin) Goacher and Joe (Lindsay) Goacher; great grandchildren, Josh, Chandler, Connor, Garrett, Eric, Caden, Abi, Sophie, Emma, Isabel, Elle and Abigail; sister, Frances Goacher Creekmore; brother, David Goacher of West Memphis and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Visitation will be 10:00AM Thursday, November 30, 2023 at the Velvet Ridge Church of God, 1188 Hwy US 167, Bald Knob, Arkansas 72010 with service to follow at 11:00AM. Interment will be at Velvet Ridge Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home.

Annie, my heart broke when I saw Lewis had passed. What a wonderful man - always a smile on his face. Such fond memories of going to church with ya'll. You and your family will be in my prayers. I love you!!
