Lillie Bell Hoover Jackson of Snow Lake, AR passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. Lillie was born to James Atkins Bush and Elthel Bell on August 22, 1932 in Spiro,Oklahoma.
Lillie was a faithful member of the Twin City Church of Christ.
Lillie loved life. She could find the good and humor in all things and people. She was known for her kind words and never meeting a stranger. Her homemade biscuits and chocolate gravy were awesome. At Snowlake Elementary School, where she worked in the cafeteria, Lillie was known for her homemade rolls and doughnuts. While working hard on the farm alongside Eldridge and her three boys, she also made the long drive to Helena to work at Doughboy Pool Company. Lillie was very well known at the Crumrod Grocery, working the meat counter with a smile on her face and greeting customers. She was a loving caregiver to children and the elderly until she retired.
Lillie is survived by her two sons, Samuel Hoover (Betsy) of Katy, Texas and Elvin Ray Hoover (Annetta) of Germantown, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Curtis Bradley Hoover of West Helena, Arkansas; Holly Ann Hoover of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Samuel Ray Hoover of Colliervile, Tennessee; Dustin Wayne Hoover of Germantown, Tennessee; Samuel David Hoover Jr. of Yazoo City; Shayla Lynn Hoover of Columbus, Mississippi; thirteen great-grandchildren, Robert Blake Trent, Elizabeth Bell Hoover, Gunner James Trent, Matthew Donald Hoover, Charlotte May Hoover, Joshua Chism, Shannen Chism, Nathan Wayne Hoover, Kaden Ray Hoover, Jaxon Mark Hoover, Kaylynn Harbee Harber, Madison Hartsell Poe and great-great grandchildren, Kreed Harber, Harper Chism, Ashtyn Rain Poe, Annalese Faye Poe, Adalynn Kate Poe and Alec Wyatt John Poe.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James Atkins Bush and Ethel Bell; her husband of 38 years, Elvin Eldridge; she was also married to Clifford Jackson for six years until his passing; her son, James Roy Hoover and daughter-in-law, Brenda Hoover and one great-great grandchild, Silas Drake Poe.
A funeral will be held for Ms. Lillie Jackson at 1:00 p.m., Friday December 1, 2023 at Roller-Citizens, Chapel. A visitation will be held one hour prior at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Minister Bobbie Baker will be officiating.

We loved her so much. A joy to know her for many years. She alway had a smile on her face. Lillie was good friends with our sister n law Margie. Now we will miss them both. May God give comfort to her family & friends.
Sister Jackson was a wonderful Christian friend. I have received many cards from her. She would like to tell others how to become a member of God’s Famiiy.. I will miss her.
i was the great thing to go and stay with my friend and go stay at grandma hoover for the week end and eat choclate gray and biscuits she was a great lady
Curtis and family, my prayers are for God to give you strength and peace. I’ll always remember Miss Lillie’s knowledge of the Bible and her heart of a servant.
