Mary Darlene Schouweiler, 61, of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023 in Paris. She was born on October 12, 1962 in Paris to her parents, Melvin Powell and Bernice (Brown) Bates.
Mary was a loving mother and grandmother who loved to read and do crafts. She enjoyed doing anything that involved her familiy, from get togethers and small events to the largest holiday she made sure every single person feel special and loved. Her grandchildren were her entire world.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Bernice Bates and one brother, Leonard Bates.
She is survived by her husband, James Schouweiler of Paris; one daughter, Michele Wells of Paris; one son, Milton Brown of Paris; one step-daughter, Karen Davis of Branch; her father, Melvin Powell of Plano, Texas; six sisters, Ester Bates of Fort Smith, Jo Anna Bates of Fort Smith, Barbara Cole of Fort Smith, Torsha Powell of Kansas City, Missouri, Shannon Powell of Kansas City, Missouri and Christi McKenzie of Plano, Texas; three brothers, Melvin Richard of Charleston, Anthony Powell of Kansas City, Missouri and Delvin Powell of Midway, Texas; 13 grandchildren, Mackenzie Jackson, Madison Fore, Xavier Brown, Owen Fore, Alyeah Brown, Jaelin Brown, Nicole Brown, Dammien Brown, Draydon Brown, Treyveon Brown, Keon Brown, Destiney Brown and Gracie Wells and two great grandchildren, Octavia Martin and Ruthlee Smith.
A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris. Cremation will follow the visitation under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
