I met Warren while we worked for Timex in the Little Rock, AR plant at the airport area! Warren was an excellent machinist. He was very instrumental in helping develop mechanical tooling that allowed the watches to be automatically adjusted during the assembly process.

May he rest in peace!

Lawrence and Ronnie,
I was so very sorry to read of your Dad’s death in the paper. The old Meadowcliff residents are dwindling! I will be thinking of you and your families during this time. Warm thoughts, Lana Kizer Strickland

He was shy and blushed easily but was the coolest guy around because he road a Triumph motorcycle. The Custers had neighborhood kids over to watch television before tv came to Little Rock. They had a tall antennae on their house to get Memphis tv stations. After much coaxing, Warren came to house and he and Bobbie Lee became very smitten with each other. They married when Bobbie Lee finished high school and Warren was still in school. At that time, married students were not allowed to go to school. Somehow principal Leroy Scott allowed Warren to graduate with his class. At Tech High he learned to be a machinist and plied his craft throughout his career. He was voted most likely to succeed by his classmates. He was a great family man and he will be missed.

What great memories of Warren and Bobbie. Growing up in Antioch, I was blessed by God through them. They loved the group of young people I grew up with at Antioch. Prayers for Lawrence and Ronnie from us.

Warren joined our little “coffee club” at McDonald’s several years ago. In our conversation, I discovered he was the grandfather of a young lady I had worked with. He became a quiet gentleman in our group of chattering women. He said he enjoyed listening to us talk. He was just that…a quiet, sweet, southern gentleman. We have missed him since he entered long term care, and will continue to miss him as we go for coffee.
