Reba Nell Townsend Brown, 97, of Searcy passed from this life into her heavenly home on November 12, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on July 7, 1926 in White County, Arkansas to the late WT and Addie Townsend. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ancel J (Red) Brown and eleven siblings.
Left to cherish her memory are her four children, Barbara (Dickie) Rambo, Jerry (Elvena) Brown, Roger (Sue) Brown and Anita Dillard; her grandchildren, Tracy (Shannon) Rambo, Richard (Chris) Rambo, Sherri (Robert) Jackson, Christi (Chris) Morgen, Marty (Julie) Brown, Todd (Stephanie) Brown, Greg (Krystal) Brown, Amy (Chris) Stanley, Jaymie (Christie) Dillard; twenty-four Great Grandchildren, Tisha Collins, Tiffany Rambo, Drew (Caleigh) Rambo, Brent (Kayla) Bunker, Joanie Rambo, Kyle Dillard, Mason Stanley, Olivia Stanley, Isaac Stanley, Lindsay (Troy) Mason, Geary Sandefur, Jerred Sandefur, Hayley (Landon) Vaught, Ashley (Dan) Schweikhard, Hallie Jackson, Parker Brown, Bentley Brown, Tyler Brown, Ryan Brown, Austin Brown, Brenden Case, Hunter (Max) Miles, Eli McInturff and Jackson Brown; twelve Great Great-Grandchildren, Hayden Rambo, Gracie Collins, Dallas Collins, Reece Rambo, Tyler Bunker, Abigail Mason, Sawyer Mason, Ava Mason, Autumn Mason, Peyton Brown, Arie Brown and Skylar Brown and one sister-in-law, Naomi Townsend; along with her nieces and nephews and other extended family members and many friends.
Reba worked out of the home for only a short period of time doing different things such as selling Avon, but found her real task was being a stay-at-home mom and wife. She loved to cook, quilt, work in her flowers and take care of her kids. She attended Four Mile Hill School until it burned and while she was in school she was known for participating in sports and not only enjoyed them, she was said to be good at them. She was an active member of Faith Assembly of God Church in Searcy for many years and thought of them as her family as well.
Services are scheduled for Friday, November 17, 2023 at Faith Assembly of God Church with Visitation being held at 1:00 PM followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 PM. The Grandsons, who will be serving as Pallbearers are Tracy Rambo, Richard Rambo, Jaymie Dillard, Marty Brown, Greg Brown and Todd Brown. Interment will follow at Searcy Faith Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home.
So sorry to find out about this. I just ran across it. I will tell mom (Peggy Benson) about it when she wakes up. She was wondering awhile back if Reba Nell was still alive. I was on here looking at Rosa Nell Evans obituary and saw this. Prayers and hugs to the family.
Miss Reba Nell was such a wonderful friend and sister in Christ to my Mom. We know she will be missed here but also know they are having such a wonderful reunion. Our prayers are with you all!
