William McLean Hemmings was born January 30, 1943 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to William (Mac) and June Ruby (Seefeld) Hemmings. He passed away on November 4, 2023 in Mountain View, Arkansas. He was 80 years old.

Bill attended the University of Wisconsin and the University of Minnesota majoring in Physics and Calculus. His early work was at Muzak and Control Data Corporation. He then went to the University of Minnesota Physics Department and worked on special projects including NASA and DoD. He later started his own company doing computer electronics.

On February 15, 1964, Bill married Mary (Moen) Hemmings. They had two children, C. Andrew (Kathleen) Hemmings and Shannon G. (Hemmings) Trzebiatowski and one granddaughter, Danielle Trzebiatowski.

Bill enjoyed sailing and fishing. He had a passion for classical music as well as collecting, attending auctions and exploring his Scottish heritage. He was a member of Foothills Baptist Church, Mountain View.

He is survived by his wife, children, granddaughter and his brother, Richard (Jane) along with several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Service for William Hemmings will be November 15th, 11:00 AM at Foothills Baptist Church, 19935 Highway 5, Mountain View. Pastor Tommy Medley will officiate.
