James Daniel Emry, age 52, of Saint Joe, Arkansas passed away Monday, October 30, 2023 in Flippin Arkansas.
James was born August 14, 1971 in Memphis Tennessee a son of John Albert Sr. and Pauline "Polly" (Anderson) Emry.
James has been a resident of the area for 20 years, coming here from Memphis Tennessee. He attended Church of Christ and did designer paint jobs in the auto body repair industry. He also worked for Ranger Boats in Flippin painting boats. As a past time he enjoyed fishing where he developed a love for tying flies for fly fishing.
James is survived by his mother Polly of Saint Joe, two sons, a brother John Albert Emry Jr, four grandchildren, and his aunt Frances Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his father John Albert Emry Sr.
Graveside service for James will be 3:00 pm Friday, November 10, 2023 at Layton Cemetery in Yellville with Dennis Warren officiating.

I knew Jimmy as a young lad, he was a friend of my son Jason and Jodie. They called themselves the “The Rebel J’s”. We have never forgotten him, so sorry we lost contact.

Jimmy was my son-in-law but l always loved him as a real son. He was a gentle and kind soul . He could always bring a smile to my face. God rest his soul. My condolences to his surviving family.
