Jerry Lynn Hartwick, 75, of Greenbrier, AR, went to be with the Lord, peacefully watching the sunset while tending to his beloved dogs, November 1, 2023. He was born September 30, 1948 in Conway, Arkansas to B.H. and Barbara Hartwick. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Beth Hartwick and his parents.
Jerry attended and graduated from Guy-Perkins School. He married his wife Beth and enjoyed 49 wonderful years, until her death. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Greenbrier, he also attended Copperas Springs and Antioch Baptist.
After the passing of his wife Beth, he found love again with Ruth. The two were married and created treasured memories on their many adventures. They especially enjoyed attending church together and growing closer to Jesus as husband and wife.
Jerry served our country in the Army National Guard for 23 years. Jerry worked and retired from Southwestern Bell after 37 years and he also was a Shriner and a Free Mason.
Jerry was a member of Armstead Mountain Deer Camp, he loved to fish, and was an avid hunter. He loved to work and run his many, many dogs, Beagles, Bird Dogs, Squirrel Dogs and Walkers.
Jerry was dearly loved by all and will be deeply missed, especially his morning coffee buddy's, when they attended their morning coffee class at Thunderbirds in Guy.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Ruth Hartwick; sons, Brad Hartwick (Audra) and Cody Hartwick, (Penny); daughter, Brooke Worden (Dusty); grandchildren, Kaitlyn Hartwick, Justin Hartwick, Lora Hartwick, Ally Hartwick, Sarah Worden and Wes Worden. Jerry is also survived by his brothers, Bill and Jim Hartwick and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Greenbrier from 4:00pm to 6:00pm Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 10:00am at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Jerry was a good friend of mine he worked for me at southwestern bell for over 20 hrs I enjoyed going bow hunting and crappie fishing with him he will be missed

Our condolences to Brad and the rest of the family. I almost fell out of my chair when I saw this. I knew Jerry from the lodge and had a relative of his who was a student of mine at UCA years ago. So sorry to hear of Jerry passing. We were long time friends through work at Bell Telephone and in the military service. He was always a laugh and a hoot to be around. He loved his kids and famiily and friends. He will be missed. Praying for comfort for his family.

Jerry will be greatly missed. Field Trials will not be the same without him. He always had a smile on his face and could always bring a smile to your face. I got my beloved Oakley and Ruby Doo from him and enjoy watching them tree squirrels, and I just got a couple foxhound pups from him I am really excited about. I know he is in heaven running dogs and watching over everyone. Prayers for your family during this difficult time.

Our hearts are just breaking! Jerry loved our girls just like his own grandkids. I love watching his face when Linnea or as he called her “George” would light us with pride when she was showing Angel! Many hugs and prayers to you all!
