Mrs. Audean Hammett, 95, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away Friday, November 3, 2023 in Mountain Home. She was born on July 10, 1928 in Brockwell, Arkansas to Eston and Gracie (Graham) Simmons. She was married to Cecil Hammett for 19 years. She was a member of East Side Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, crafting and taking care of children.
Audean is survived by 2 children, Charlie Hammett (Karen) and Harry (Lisa) Hammett; 2 grandchildren, Katie Hammett (Kai) and Nicole Skidmore (Rick) and 4 great-grandchildren, Marlee Hammett, Hunter Fields, Shelby Skidmore and Dani Skidmore; as well as special friends, Donna Knopke and Sharon Dorsey. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents and 4 siblings, Revel Simmons, Essie Simmons, Marie Matlock and Henry Noel Simmons.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Informed Choices Women's Center, P.O. Box 2151, Mountain Home, AR 72654.
