November 7, 1968 - October 31, 2023
David Wayne Proffitt of West Memphis departed this life on October 31, 2023. He was born to Bobby and Mary Proffitt November 7, 1968 in the Naval Hospital at the Naval Training Center in Great Lakes, Illinois.
David was a compassionate and honest man. In earlier years he worked as a carpenter and had excellent woodworking skills. He then began working with his dad at Bob's Delta Ice, delivering ice, where he became known as the "ice man". He was the life of the party and always quite the character.
He loved cracking jokes and making people laugh. David loved his family dearly. He enjoyed conversations with his daughter, Christy and always reminded her of how much he loved her and her family. He loved hearing about what his grandsons, Braden and Brentley were up to and all of their accomplishments. He enjoyed his time in the kitchen cooking up something new and his outings with his brother, John. He loved jamming out to his rock 'n roll music and watching his shows. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Proffitt. He is survived by his father, Bobby Proffitt of West Memphis; his brothers, Alan (Linda) and Brian (Lisa) of Marion and John of West Memphis; his daughter, Christy Miller (James); grandsons, Braden and Brentley of Marion and many family and friends.
