Elaine....I am so very sorry for your loss. I do know what losing ones love of your life is like. I will keep you in my prayers.
Sorry for your loss. Very great man and enjoyed help animals. He will be missed.
I moved here in 2017 from Colorado and had 5 dogs at the time. I had been used to paying expensive rates at animal clinics out there. One day one of my dogs got sick and I was referred to Doc Blair. I immediately hit it off with Doc,when he found out of was a disabled Vet, he began to proudly share stories about his family members who had military service. Even though he was busy we had a long conversation. We were about the same age and had many of the same views about life. When it came time to pay my bill, I was shocked. It was so much less than what I was used to paying. I told the nice lady who worked at the front desk that I had to pay more than that so with 5 dogs I became a regular customer and I always paid more. What impressed me, is that Doc told me he would put the extra money on to other clients accounts. I was shocked that many people had accounts there that paid when they could. I hadn't seen that since I was a child. I told Doc many times,
Doc, you cannot die, this county needs you too much, and you are irreplaceable. I was very sadden to find out that day came. This was a tough year for me, I lost my trusted mechanic and good friend , Mike Cash, now I have lost my trusted Veterinarian and good friend Doc Blair. And those two wonderful human beings are both irreplaceable. They were from a generation of good men that is sadly dying with them.Prayers to the good family.
Uncle Buddy was truly an inspiration. Every ride with him was an adventure and I wish I had gone on more. All my love, Aunt Elaine.
We were so sorry to hear of Doc’s passing. He was my 3rd cousin and a wonderful human being. One of the last times I took my German Shepherd, Annabelle, in to see Doc, I made the mistake of taking her alone without my husband. Although Doc had such a way with her as with all animals, she was in full guard mode since it was just me. Doc had to lightly sedate her in order to examine her more closely. In the blink of an eye he was done and told me I’d better “get her out to the car before she gets too drunk to walk”! Sure enough, I got her out to the car and back home before the full effect set in. He was such a kind and smart man - never too busy to reminisce about our family ties. Heaven received another angel. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. We love you Buddy. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family.
Since October, their is an irreplaceable void in Searcy County. Regarding the services Dr. Blair provided to the citizens of Searcy County and the low rates he charged, Dr.Blair will be the most missed man ever in Searcy County. There is an old saying that states, “you don’t know how bad you appreciate and miss something until it’s taken from you.” My wife and I will will greatly miss Doctor Blair and taking our animals to his clinic. Our thoughts and prayers are with Elaine and the family.

We are so very saddened to hear of the loss of Doc Blair. He was a wonderful man and we appreciate all his time he gave to helping us with our cattle farm. He was a class act, with a giving & kind heart.
Our prayers are with all of you, may God give you comfort.
Elaine, Jeb, Amanda, and families, I am heartbroken for all of you as you go through this time of grief, heartache, and loss! Doc was one of the best men I have ever known! He was a legend in Searcy County and beyond, and one of the best Vets you could ever find to take care of your animals! He spent many hours at E. Daniel Hardware talking to George and whoever else was there visiting! I always enjoyed listening to their stories!
Our Community will never be the same without his dedication and friendship! He will be missed by all who knew him!
Elaine, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers! I love you all dearly! ????
Doc was such an intelligent man and a man of great character. We will miss his strength and wisdom. May God keep you and comfort you during this difficult time.
Elaine you had one of the best as Bud did with you. As classmates we had similar interests and goals. We both established small town rural practices where we were “the specialist” for whatever we had to do. Bud was respected by all of us. Betty and I really enjoyed our visit with both of you when we stopped by your farm a few years ago. Our hearts go out to you and your family but we know he.is in a better place than this world now.
Doc was one of a kind. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and his many patients. Doc was a good man
The Clifford, Aday, family thought Doc Blair was One of a kind vet they enjoyed him coming, working the cattle and visiting with them. we got a dog a few years back look like it had the Mange took it to the vet here in Clinton numerous times spent lots and lots of money came in one Wednesday evening. My husband said let’s take it to Marshall To Doc Blair we walked in his office. I took the papers with me to show him it had been to a vet several times he looked at me and said go to the farm store and get you a $14.00 bottle of ??? And if it don’t kill her in the first dose, she will look lots better in three days . we still have the dog and she is beautiful.
So sorry to hear of my dear cousins passing. Doc’s grandmother Mandy Blair and my grandmother Myrtie Elliott were sisters. I am sure he is visiting with them in heaven. Grover “Buddy” was a very good man and such a pleasure to visit with. He will be missed and he left me with many good memories. Rest in PEACE until we meet again. Love to his precious family.
Bill and I were so sorry to hear of the loss of Doc Blair. He will truly be missed.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
G.C. Blair was a Searcy County original. He graduated vet school with top marks. He could have practiced anywhere but chose to come home to Searcy County. He practiced with compassion for animals, large and small, and as necessary, their owners. More than once, I recall him coming during calving season when it was dark and well into the evening to assist with a difficult delivery.
Once he returned to Searcy County, it’s difficult to imagine anyone doing more for the community. If it happened, chances are he was involved in it.
He was active in church, the local lodge(s) and even local politics. I remember him serving both as a JP, a member of the School Board, and then later as a member of the election commission.
I recall that he had a vocational agriculture degree. He once told me that, at the time, he “wasn’t in any hurry to get out of school.” Whatever his motives, he never lost his enthusiasm for agriculture and donated countless hours to support FFA, 4-H and other organizations.
He is one of the few people who could actually pull off a handlebar mustache. He had a wonderful, dry sense of humor which he frequently used to good effect while enjoying a moment’s respite at the E. Daniel
Hardware store.
While he loved Searcy County, he was a devoted family man. I recall him being at many ballgames and school event’s because Amanda, JEB, or both were participating in something.
My condolences to his family, and to his friends. It is difficult for me to imagine Searcy County without him.
Few but fond memories of Doc! I loved to hear his voice and he had a great smile. Wonderful personality; always so warm and friendly. I know he is loved by so many others too. He will surely be missed. My prayers are with his family and friends.
Our thoughts and prayers go to your family.
My deepest condolences to the family and close friends of Doc Blair. Not enough good can be said about him, but I do want to express my thanks for all the years we had Doc to care for our animals. Working with him was a wonderful, learning experience. He was a good man, and an enjoyment to be around. Words cannot express the sadness of losing him.
I want to express my condolences to Doc’s family, his many friends, and to the community that he served so well for so many years. Doc was one of the first people that I became acquainted with when first coming to Searcy County to campaign for state representative 25 years ago. Many of my favorite memories come from Doc and George Daniel at the hardware store. His sound advice, wisdom, and friendship became a treasure to me and his commitment to his community was something I always admired.
Doc was a treasure and will truly be missed by all of us who had the honor of knowing him. Even though I have unfortunately gone several years without seeing him, I still think of him often and am grateful for the opportunity to have called him my friend.
My thoughts and prayers are with Doc's family and friends. I may have left Searcy County yrs ago but in my minds eyes I can hear and see Doc's. He will always bee a part of my memories of home. He was a part that just stood out on his own. Love ya now and always Doc til one day when we shall all meet again. I can remember so well my Granny Bonniw Jean saying time to call Grover and me having no clue who Grover was til she said Doc of course.... Granny....and pop thought the world of him as did everyone else.Thank you buddy Blair for being a part of our lives
Praying for comfort for the family in the loss of their patriarch. May they also be comforted by the many postings from those who had a memory about Doc Blair to share.
Our deepest sympathy to Elaine and family. We were heartbroken to hear about the passing of Doc.He wasn't just a vet., he was family. He loved what he did and was never too busy to help an animal in need, didn't matter kind, he was always there for us.Every visit would always end with us discussing our family tree, he knew more about it than we did and would always have stories to tell. We loved hearing them. Doc meant so much to us and this community. His passing has left a big hole in our hearts. We love and will miss you Doc! Prayers to Elaine and family!?? Vonda, Linda, and Pam
Doc. was one of Searcy County's finest in many ways. Prayers to the family.
We have appreciated the kindness Doc has shown. He set an amazing example of serving a community, and he will be greatly missed. Our prayers are with his family and all who feel the loss so keenly. God bless you.
Burt and I have had the great honor to have known Doc. Serving on the School Board gave me the opportunity to get to know him on a more personal level. We loved his since of humor . On memory we have is, I had a Persian cat that got out and came home with cockleburs all over her and I had to take her to Doc to get his suggestion on what to do. He said het would have to shave her. When I came back to pick her up I couldn't stop laughing. He shaved all of her fur except the front of her face, tail, and her paws. I asked Vicky to put her in a box cause every time I looked at her I laughed uncontrollably. He just looked at me and and smiled. It was the craziest thing I had every seen. Another time I acquired 8 calves. On got sick so Doc came out to the farm to check it our. He gave me instructions on how to give a shot. I looked at him and said I couldn't hurt it. He smiled and coached me through it. I stood there for several minutes with the syringe and started to cry. (I've always had a fear of shots). He just told me to rare back and go for it. We had many laughs about it later. Elaine, Jeb, and Amanda, please know we are praying for all of you.
I had the pleasure of meeting Doc Blair back in the early 2000s, when I took a trip to Marshall with my dad, Doc's 3rd cousin. He led a good life looking after the animals, large and small.
This is Melissa, posting for Granny Dean Smyth. She sends her condolences and said that she's been so grateful that Doc came back here and set up his practice. He helped a lot of people! She had some stories to share:
"Marian's cat Mella got sick and I took him up there to Doc Blair's and he just kept him and kept him and kept him. And I kept askin' him when can I get my cat back? He said, "Well, I'm using him." Of a night, he'd open all the doors to all the cabinets of his operating room and let Mella out of his cage. And the next mornin' he'd have a whole pile of mice caught. And he finally let me come and get him."
"Doc Blair always came down to the store and eat dinner. When that grocery store was next door, he’d go down there and get what he wanted. And he loved cottage cheese. He’d always buy those great big containers of cottage cheese. He went down there and got him one of them. He liked head cheese, souse. He bought him a package of that and some real cheese. And crackers. Someone asked 'Why don't you eat like normal people and get you a hamburger?' Doc Blair said this was a lot better than a hamburger! He’d eat cottage cheese or what he wanted and then he’d put it back there in my refrigerator for the next day. They’d stay back there til he’d eat it all gone. I’d bring them home and wash them and put stuff up in the freezer in those."
"We’d always work our cattle before winter time. It’d take him all day long. Of course, we’d help him. We’d get them in the corral and he’d be worming them. He’d say 'Check and see if her butt’s dirty.' And if her butt was dirty, he’d worm her. And if it wasn’t, then nope, she don’t need it. He wouldn’t worm her."
My Dad and Doc Blair are first cousins, but I never got to meet the Blair side of my family. I have studied all about my lineage and decided to stop in one day at Doc’s vet clinic to meet him . He was so warm and friendly and invited me and my daughter to come to his house for Christmas and meet our family.
I drove through town again this weekend and learned that he had passed. I was so touched by his kindness and sad that we never got the chance to take him up on his invitation. Sending love and prayers to all the Blair Family. I hope to still meet you all one day.
Dr. Blair was one of a kind. He had such an impact on our community and we are all better people for knowing him. He cared deeply about his community. He always had time to listen, teach, and tell stories of the good old days. For over 16 years he cared for our animals. No matter the time of night he was always there for me in an emergency. "I'll meet you there." He always amazed me how well he could reposition a puppy in a difficult delivery. It is a comfort to know that he is with the Lord. Elaine, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Thank you Dr. Blair, you did so much for us. I'll take with me all the good advice and instruction you gave. You will be missed so much. We'll see you on the other side.
Doc was absolutely the best! He saved my animals many times. His kind heart and his knowledge and just being generally wonderful will be missed by our whole community. Our hearts and our prayers are with this family may God bring you peace and comfort as you find your way through this.
So sorry for your loss. And the whole town. Doc will be missed by all.

A former schoolmate . Nice guy to everyone. We did have a catch up visit at his office a couple of weeks ago. I had no idea he was ill . Condolences to Elaine and family.
Elaine and family, we are thinking of you as you remember Bud’s remarkable life and praying that you have moments of peace and comfort. Bud was a cherished friend to many! He will be greatly missed. Our heartfelt sympathy and blessings go out the Blair family!
Elaine, I could hardly believe it when I was told that Buddy had died. He is going to be greatly missed by me and all of Searcy County. I did not know that we were kin until he told me. He took care of so many of my pets over the years and I don't think anyone can ever live up to his accomplishments. Prayers for you and your family!
p
Doc was the finest man and vet I knew. I’ve known him practically my whole life. He has told me so many stories about my mother and raising cows, horses, goats, & pigs. Now that my husband is taking Carrie of my brothers farm he’s always answering questions for us and he’s always right. He comes out to pregnancy check the cows abd he will talk to us about everything and we enjoyed the stories. When he met my son he had to tell my son all about his grandmother that he didn’t know. Doc will miss you along with everyone in the community. Elaine our prayers are with you and the family.
Whenever we moved from the land of OFF, I surely did find a Doc who knew exactly where I loved to be patted, the loving way that you talked to me made me feel not so scared and I never knew whenever you had gave me any shots. All the animals in Heaven are so lucky to have you with them now, but your family, friends and animal patients shall carry you in our hearts forever.
I was so sad when I heard of Doc's passing. He always asked about the kids and was genuinely interested in them. He was so kind and gave so much to the community. Searcy county will have a huge void without him.
He was appreciated probably more than he ever knew.
Praying God will comfort you and keep your family through this very difficult time.
Earl, Talisa and the kids
May the love of God enfold each of you during this time of sorrow and the memories fill your hearts with joy in the days ahead. May Doc Blair rest in peace in his new heavenly home. Many heart felt condolences for each of you.
Sincerely,
Amber Tilley

Never saw anyone handle a horse the way Dr. Blair did. He will be greatly missed by us. RIP
My deepest condolences to the family. Doc was such a great asset to the Searcy County community. His loss will be felt for years to come.
I have know Doc Blair most of my life. I enjoyed discussing our family history with him. He was very knowledgeable and willing to share his experiences and knowledge. Doc will be missed by most of the farm families in Searcy County and surrounding areas. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
“Doc” was special man. I will miss his sense of humor, always will remember the day he told me to tell those people that wanted to know where the ambulance was going that it was just going to help him deliver an elephant.
Prayers for the family.
You will be missed.
This past spring I took my dog to Doc Blair and I had a list of all the shots a previous vet had given. I said go ahead and give her all she needs ….he said “why if I gave all those shots, I’d make so much money Elaine never would stay home”! Elaine and I are good friends and taught together for years at Clinton. I couldn't wait to tell her that. In one of his last comments Elaine wrote he said “ I feel like I’ve been sent for and couldn’t come”…..really that sums up this fine man: when he was sent for to help his community or for a farm call, he came. It is a privilege to have known him. Peace and comfort to all who loved him…..
Buddy and I were classmates in the Class of 64' at Marshall. I knew when he was in high school, he was destined for a great life. He was like a man among boys even then. Everyone loved Buddy. I moved away but I always enjoyed catching up with him at our class reunions. in reading the posts made here it is obvious he made great contributions to his community, and I am proud to call him my friend. Elaine, cherish your wonderful memories and they will help get you through these difficult times. God Bless you and your entire family!
So sorry to hear about Doc. Love and prayers for the family.
I’m so sorry Elaine and know this is so difficult
He was such a blessing for Searcy County
Prayers for you and family

I will miss Doc Blair a lot. He took care of my cats and cows. I could listen to him talk all day. He knew what he was doing with animals large and small. He was a friend of my dad’s (Alfred Steen). He was the Almni member they celebrated and I heard his speech. He was a great vet, great dad, great grandpa and great husband. He will never be forgotten by the people he served in and around Marshall area. I will miss him because he was always friendly.
All our prayers and sympathies. Doc Blair was a tremendous asset to our community and a wonderful teacher to those learning how to live the farm life. He will be deeply missed.
So sorry for your loss. Doc Blair will be greatly missed.
I have known Doc my entire life and he never changed a bit. (everyone knew Doc, he was the go-to guy)
I really got to know him and Elaine both when I worked in the Clerk's office, and he was an Election Commissioner and she helped train and do elections. I always loved the night of the Election; he always kept us on our toes with his jokes and storytelling. Sometimes he would stop in to just tell me a new joke or story. He was always just a call away if I had a question about anything, from elections, our dogs, or farm animals. He will be missed greatly. Our prayers and love go to Elaine and family.
Randy and Penny
My thoughts and prayers are for everyone. Hope all of you find peace and comfort during this trying time. Love you all.
We are saddened to hear about the passing of Doc. We are so very thankful for all the years that he took loving care of our pets. We will miss him. RIP Doc Blair.
All of Searcy County will miss Doc Blair. He was a true treasure, kind and calm and smart, and always willing to teach. Prayers for the family, he blessed many. Rest in peace Doc.
My deepest condolences to Doc's family and friends, he will be greatly missed. Thank you Doc for all that you have done and for the memories that will never be forgotten.
Elaine and family, Thank you for sharing Doc with the rest of the county + Van Buren County! I know it wasn’t easy to share such a good man! I appreciate everything Doc did for my fur babies! He really was a good/funny man. I believe We will see Doc Buddy Blair again in the next life! Prayers for all who cared for “Doc Blair”. Kay Balentine Knight
So very sorry to hear of Doc's passing. He was sure one of kind. The knowledge he had was amazing and he didn't mind sharing that with anyone. He didn't need or want all the fancy up to date stuff such as computers, ex-ray machines and such, you either paid with cash or check, or didn't pay at all, that was his way. Our son took a dog to him for what he thought was a broke leg, Doc put him on the table, felt of it and said, yep its broke, put a rod in, kept him over night and sent him home the next day, the dog is still doing great. One funny we still laugh at, Chester asked him once if he thought pour on wormer was better than injectable for cattle, Doc replied, well, say you have a headache, take an aspirin, put it in a glass of water and dissolve it, then pour it on your head and see if your headache goes away. Made perfect sense to us but we still laugh about it.
Prayers to all his family and all the community as he is one that won't be replaceable.
God bless the Blair family. Doc Blair blessed us and so many in Searcy County!. He is an Icon. My prayers are with those who knew him and those who will truthfully miss him. Love to all of his family, particularly.
I knew Doc my whole life. He took care of numerous horses, dogs, cats, cattle, and he did his best to coach me on pigs when we had them (“oh, you can do this, just come by and pick up some stuff at the office and I’ll tell you how” - on sewing up a prolapsed rectum on a pig- eventually several over the years).
I loved his stories. So much knowledge about the area and how things were done in years past (talking pigs, silage, the list goes on and on).
He knew my oldest horse, now 31, his whole life. He remembered names of the ones I had the longest through the years. He was always willing to explain and answer my endless questions. He was a great educator and his care and concern for the critters in his care was apparent.
What a loss for the community- human and animal alike. But what a full life. My heart goes out to his family. Thank you for everything Doc. We’re sure going to miss you.
Condolences to family.
I have many memories of Doc thru the years.
I called him early on a cold Christmas morning, our milk cow was down with milk fever, he apologized for taking so long as that diesel truck was cold.
Another time he was working our few head of cattle, was telling me about this wild plant, don't remember the plant, but he told me to eat it, I said what if cows had wet on it, he says," just eat it, it won't kill ya". It didn't.
I hope he knew how much we all loved him.
Doc was a true Searcy County treasure. He was kind enough to let me make calls with him when I was a kid aspiring to be a vet. Although I wasn't ultimately able to do that, he was always available to help us with whatever animal needed him. Last call I remember my kids & I were home for the summer and we'd gone over to help dad try to turn & pull a calf. We couldn't turn it so Doc came out in the middle of the night, couldn't save the calf but did save the cow for which my dad was so grateful. I could've sat and listened to those two swap stories all night. We will all miss him.
Doc Blair was simply the best veterinarian around!! He was a great man!! He was gentle with the animals but yet got his work done!! He will be missed big time!! ????

Doc has always taken care of us and our crazy pets. He way undercharged. He could just look at em and tell you what was wrong. Elaine was my teacher at Clinton. I will never forget the time I took my rescue opossum in for shots and he put his hand on his hip and said.. Do opossums in the woods need shots? .. I say noooo ..Well yours don’t either Missy!! I will miss him so. Thank you Doc. For everything. Love and prayers for Elaine and family. From all of us. Our deepest sympathy.
Doc will be missed so much ! He did such a service to this area with different animals.
I took one of my cats in and he looked at her and said she had a UTI. He definitely knew his animals.
I am still so very sad about the passing of Doc. I pray for peace and comfort for his family. Lord just so many good people leaving this earth. He will be greatly missed ...
We are truly grateful for everything Doc did for our farm. I loved to listen to all his stories. He got quite a few Rocky Mountain oysters from our sheep. He always made me laugh. I seen a lot of him the last couple of years with all my animals and I will miss him terribly. RIP Doc! Your family and friends are in our thoughts.
Our deepest condolences to all Doc’s loved ones, family and friends. He was a wonderful gift to the farming community of Searcy County. He was a wonderful help to us with our farm. There will never be another one like him. RIP Sir, You will be missed.
My prayers and thoughts thoughts are with you
Dr. Blair was a good man and the best veterinarian I had for all my dogs, and the most reasonable priced and old school doc. Trusted his word for 25 years. Sending condolences to family.
Prayers for the family, doc Blair was a true vet & had a way with animals that most people wouldn’t, will definitely be missed by many.
I was so sorry to hear about your loss. My prayers are with you all. May the Lord give you all comfort & peace.
Doctor Blair was the last of the “old time” vets who could diagnose illnesses with all the fancy technology. He was always full of knowledge and stories and if you would listen you could learn a lot. Dr. Blair will be missed by everyone who knew him. My prayers and love are with y’all. Misty
Doc, was "The Best". I learned something every time he took care of our animals. He told me about a "death gene" in cattle and went on to say, " People don't want to believe that, but do you know what? it's true". One thing he said has changed my way of looking at beef when I grocery shop. He said, Do you know what? You can walk down that meat section.and you see a package of meat that has a lot of blood in the package, that's bull meat, And you know what? Another package maybe not be so bloody looking, that's a cow or heifer, And do you know what? You see one with not much blood at all, that's a steer. So, now I look carefully at what I buy, and he always had an answer for any question you might have. Greatly missed, but "You know what Doc, it's time to rest. Rest in Peace!

So sorry to hear. Prayers and thoughts with the family.
God bless the Blair family. Doc Blair blessed us and so many in Searcy County!. He is an Icon. My prayers are with those who knew him and those who will truthfully miss him. Love to all of his family, particularly.
What a huge loss to ALL the residents and farmers of Searcy county. Doc was such a caring, kind person and a great 'ole school' veternarian. I always appreciated how he would engage me along with the cow he might be treating. He was matter of fact, told you what he thought and what to expect and you didn't have to go take out a loan to pay for his services!!! I always trusted Doc's opinion and he was right more often than not!! Blessings to his family and many friends, he will be greatly missed. God Speed..............
Our hearts our sad. We will miss him very much.
DR Blair will truly be missed. He not only was a good VET but also a good friend. Prayers and comfort to his family and friends

I have a lapdog that there has been some confusion about what type of dog she is. We were told one thing. The DNA said another thing. When I took her to Doc for shots, I asked him if he had any idea what type of dog she was. He pondered for a moment, looking her over, look me straight in the eye and said, ‘Well she’s not a cat.’ Doc was always right.
How do you start to share all the memories and stories about Doc Blair. He had many stories and knew all kinds of things. We always discussed our family tree and how everyone was related to people. I love his knowledge and his true heart that he carried and his love for many things. Praying for peace and comfort. God bless and love you all??
We were so sadden to hear of the passing of this wonderful man he always said we were kinfolks and was so proud of my daughter for graduating from the University of Arkansas as a engineer he said when he went to college, he never got to come home until Christmas because it was so far away that she would have to stay until Christmas. I told him we had cars and highways now. we all lost a good man. All our love thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends and all gods creatures. Doc you will be missed.
It is always so hard to say goodbye to the good ones. Doc was one of the best. Our thought and prayers go out to the Blair family.
You are so missed already. Always good for advice with a joke & chuckle to go with it. Our critters big & small will bow their heads in your memory. We loved you old friend. Bless you Miss Elaine.
Words aren't enough for the loss of this gentleman. He will be missed by so many.
Although I haven’t seen Doc Blair in decades, a memory I have from my childhood comes to mind. I had a small peacock chick with a leg problem. Instead of dismissing a child’s concern, he put it in a “cast” - effectively wrapping tape around its leg. Perfect example of compassion on his part.
My condolence to the family. Blair was my veterinarian for many years and all the pets that I had they like Blair.. He had a way with animals like they know they were in good hands ..Blair Thank you for all your service... R.I.P Doc Blair
I have special memories of Doc Blair's kindness towards me and my dog when he assisted in Jobey's passing... a kind man with kind ways...Blessings for you, Elaine, and your children.

My sincere condolences to “Doc’s” family! He was a very special man. He will be sorely missed.
Our prayers are with his family. Sam and I shared the love of growing field corn with Doc. I remember making hominy for him. He was such a caring loving man. He will be deeply missed! ??
I worked with Bud at the Green Forest sale barn for several years. Several times he would get calls for emergencies after the sale. One time in particular we had to stop by a farm to deliver a calf. It was dark when we finally got there. The cow was in the lot and Bud roped it and I snubbed it to a post. He went to work the cow but she laid down but that didn't stop him. After Bud delivered the calf he was covered with manure and blood and then as he washed up Bud told the gentleman, "Well, it's time to get supper" with a big grin. I thought the gentleman was going to lose it right there.
This is just one of our adventures and there were so many. I will cherish my time with him and never forget the lessons he taught me.
We love you guys
Our thoughts and prayers are with you Elaine and family during this difficult time. He will be dearly missed. I am truly blessed to have know him. I will miss his laughter, wisdom, and kindness. Praying for you and your family of healing and peace.
I was very saddened to hear of Doc’s passing. A very large hole has been left in our community, and in the hearts of many.
I will always appreciate his matter-of-fact approach to animal care (with some life lessons thrown in for free) and his sense of humor.
My prayers go to his family and friends during this time of grief.
A great man,he was! I so remember the first time I met him I thought oh me he's grouchy and looks mean. Well in a few minutes time I changed my mind. He put in hard long hours for the animals and owners. You just don't see that with all vets. Fly high you will be missed by so many people here. Prayers for his wife, Elaine and family.
So very sorry to hear of Doc's passing. It will be hard for this community not having our "Doc" and our friend. He was one of a kind. Praying for you and all your family. Daphne Warren
You have heard of the man, the myth, the legend. Well……. Doc Blair, you are one for sure. You always cared for our animals. I loved the way you would let Abby Grace and Trevor come in and lovingly let them watch and teach them things. You are a special man and a special doctor.
And this community will certainly miss you!! Condolences to the family.

Such a good man, with a sense of humor and a way with his patients and owners that will surely be missed. Doc was always there making Searcy County a better place. His passing will leave a great void for many who knew and loved him.

My condolences to Ealine and family. He came to our farm many times. Oncei was here and a cow was calving and couldn't. Called Doc calf was dead inside so I said what are you gonna do, now hear his low drawl. Im going to go in and cut it up to get it out. I said I cant watch that, im leaving. "Well Cathy, you just do what you have to do to save yourself" he says. Well, down the hill I went. I said Doc, See ya. He was a great man and a big inspiration to alot of kids around here, and doctored several generations of farms. "Love ya Doc" RIP.
Doc loved our little mean biting dog when no one else could; he might have been one of the very few that she didn't actually bite. For that reason alone, yet so many more, our community has lost a true icon. Continued prayers for the family.
Doc and I have been friends for many years. He will be missed by a lot of people, as a friend and as the veterinarian of the people of our county. Good man
So sorry for your loss. Doc Blair was awesome. He was always so helpful for anything we needed. About 40 years ago when i was in high school, he sponsored me for Camp in FFA. He's done so much for so many people. A few months ago he was at our farm helping us work the cows. When we got done, we sat and talked for over an hr. I could sit and listen to his stories forever. We was blessed to have known him most of our lives. He could remember stuff so much more than I ever could. He will be missed. Praying for all of you guys. Hugs & Prayers.
To Doc’s family, many prayers for the days ahead. He left you with beautiful memories. RIP.
I've got a story!
About 25 years ago I was watching a local farmer's herd while his family was on vacation. One of the days, the farmer had arranged for Doc to come and castrate all of his little bull calves. Of course, when Doc arrives, he has all of his instruments in a rather large stainless steel pail. I proceeded to enquire of him why he needed such a large pail to carry his instruments. He politely informed me that it was to carry his treasure of Mountain Oysters home with! He probably left with about half a pail full!
Doc, thank you for caring for our animals, Thank you for caring for us. Thank you for teaching me and thank you for teaching my boys and thank you for being so good to me and my boys. Doc you are truly one of the best men I have ever known! Sir,you will be missed. Praying for Mrs Blair and family.
As it has been stated by many there will never be another Doc Blair. He lived and loved his profession. He loved his county and its people. He kept his prices down because he knew we were a poor county and he did what he could to help all of us.Im sure when he walked through Heavens door the Lord touch his shoulder and said,”Well Done my child”.Rest in peace Doc Blair.Prayers for Elaine and family.

My heart aches for the Blair family. Your family has always been such a big part of the our lives. Doc handed me my diploma at graduation and officiated my wedding. One of the best and wisest men I’ve ever known. We were blessed to call him a friend.

My heart is just broken for all of you. He was always such a wonderful person. I can not even begin to express my sorrow for his family or our community. God Bless you all.
Doc will forever be a legend here in Searcy County and he sure spoiled all of us and our animals. There will never be another Doc like him. We will forever miss you! Praying for your sweet family.
Doc Blair always taught me something when I’d take an animal to him for care. He told stories to my children and was loving, caring, and kind. He just helped us this September when one of our Guernseys went down with a calcium/ phosphorus imbalance after calving. He coached us through how to care for our girl and gave us hope when we were devastated and thought our cow wouldn’t ever get back up. She made a full recovery. This is just one instance of many of how Doc Blair helped us and and our animals. He was truly a jewel in this life, he will be so deeply missed. May his memory be eternal.
It is with a very sad heart today to sign the Guest book. No one has to say Doc was a very good man. Loving husband, father, grandfather and great friend. He had alot of history about Searcy county and love to tell you about it. God all of you.
RIP my friend
Elaine and familey,
Our familey has loved and respected Doc for years… he was a dandy and always so helpful. Always came as soon as he could to doctor our animals.
Prayers for all of you ! He will always be close to you as he lives on in your hearts ! God Bless!
I am so sorry for your loss. He was a very special person. He was always there when we needed him. I have taken a dog and a cat to him to have to be put down cause nothing else could be done for them and while I sat there and cryed, he cryed right along with me. He had a heart of gold whether it was a percious pet he was taking care of or if it was someone he seen on the street. He always took everything to heart. I think that is what made him so special. He took care of our precious pets with heart and love. He didn't do it to get rich, he did it out of love. There is a special place in Heaven for Doc Blair. And he will be met with open arms.
My thoughts and prayers are with each one of his family and friends. May you find comfort in knowing he is now with the lord. May God Bless each and everyone of you.
I loved going to the clinic with my dogs and doc would tell me stories of things that he and my daddy (Travis Masterson) did when they were young! I will always cherish those visits! He will be truly missed by all! Sending love and prayers to the family
