Frances Ila Patterson, age 90, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023 in Mountain Home.

Frances was born February 17, 1933 in Oak Grove, Louisiana to Abrim Dewey and Mary Jane Bennett Cox. She had lived in the area since 2017. She was very proud of her tiny home, naming it "The Nesting Hen". She loved quilting and sewing so much that she made hundreds of beautiful quilts, even making them from her hospice bed. She created crafts and won awards for them at the Marion County Fair. She also enjoyed gardening flowers and plants. An independent woman, she always wanted to try new things; she was a very generous, giving, kind, thoughtful person.

She is survived by her son, Ian Kelly Patterson (Melissa McMillan); her daughter, Gwin Edie (John); her sister, Ann Ehlen and three grandchildren, Millicent Promise Schmidt, Dustan Hillebrandt and Michael Marcantel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Patterson; her son, Michael Lane Rond in 2006 and her siblings.

Memorial service will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Pisgah Baptist Church, 3467 HWY 112, Forest Hill, LA 71430
