Wanda, age 84, departed from this world on October 17, 2023 to join the Lord in heaven, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness and boundless inspiration. Born on March 23, 1939, Wanda filled her 84 years with laughter, compassion and an unwavering dedication to her family and friends. Her vibrant spirit touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her and she left an indelible mark on all of our hearts.
The greatest testament to Wanda's extraordinary life is the love she shared with her family. Survived by her adoring son, Rodney Quillen and her precious granddaughters, Grace and Sarah, Wanda's love was a shining beacon in their lives. Her unwavering support, unending encouragement and words of wisdom will forever be etched in their hearts. Wanda was a cherished sister to Ralph Biram and their enduring bond was a source of strength and comfort for both of them. Their lifelong connection served as a testament to the enduring power of family.
Wanda Powell's benevolent spirit shone brightly in her love for those around her. She had a remarkable ability to bring joy and light to even the darkest of days, illuminating the lives of everyone she met. Her radiant smile and melodious voice, for she loved to sing, will forever be imprinted in our memories. Wanda also had a special place in her heart for animals. Visitation will be at the Roller Daniel Funeral Home, October 22, 2023 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Services will be held at the Shady Grove Cemetery in Bald Knob at 10:00am Monday, October 23, 2023, Brother Mark Ferren will be officiating.
