Myrtle "Mickey" Faye Markle was born in Harrison, Arkansas on December 21, 1935, to Onas and Mable Rea Kindall. She passed away on October 9, 2023, in her home.

Mickey married Roy Markle on March 8, 1956, in Harrison, AR. In their 40 years of marriage, they traveled the world for twenty-eight years during his service in the United States Air Force. During these travels, Mickey developed her skill of collecting "pretty things" which continued through her lifetime. Mickey was a long-time member of Crossroads Community Church.

Mickey is survived by her daughter, Vicky, and her husband, Eric Dyke. Grandchildren, Dustin and his spouse, Sarah Cummings, and Heather Bailes; great-grandchildren who lovingly called her GG, Drake Bailes, Adrianna Bailes, Tristan Cummings, Tyler Cummings, Scarlett Cummings and Aaliyah Saltkill.

Mickey is also survived by her sister, Sue Wiltermuth, and her brother and his spouse, Harold Dean and Wilma Kindall, and a host of nieces and nephews and their families.

Mickey was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Markle; brothers, Onas Kindall, Lloyd "Jiggs" Kindall, Leroy Kindall; a sister, Leola Branch and great-grandson, Tobias Cummings.


Open visitation was Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

The funeral service was Friday, October 13, 2023, at Crossroads Community Church with an interment at Hopewell Cemetery.

Pallbearers were family and friends.
