Gwen Grimes, 78, of Memphis, TN passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Baptist East Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 6, 1945 in Huntington, TN to EW and Mildred (Webb) Arrington. Gwen was a member of the Trinity Church and loved fishing, cooking, woodwork, painting and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Michael Grimes and her parents.
Those left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Tina Adams and Angela Kelley; grandchildren Stephen Flemon, Dylan Flemon, Jacob Kelley and Demi Pledger; great-grandchildren, Rafe Flemon and Annabeth Flemon and sisters, Barbara Plunk and Rynda Scholwinski.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home Chapel, 1900 West Washington Avenue, Jonesboro, AR 72401, with Jeff Pagan officiating. Visitation will precede services, beginning at 1pm.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Stephen Flemon, Dylan Flemon, Jacob Kelley, Heath Pledger, Matthew Scholwinski and Bryce Scholwinski. Rafe Flemon will serve as honorary pallbearer.
Arrangements are under the care of Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home.
