Fred Douglas Rhodes of Marcella, Arkansas departed this life on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at the age 81. He was born March 9, 1942 in Batesville, Arkansas. Fred was the son of the late Guy and Ruby (Myers) Rhodes.
He was an accomplished hair dresser for 60 plus years, loved painting, making flower arrangements, decorating, landscaping and mowing his yard. He enjoyed nature, taking drives on the back roads, watching the animals and geese around his pond and enjoying time with his fur babies. Fred loved people, was a good listener, a good friend to many and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a respectful man who always put family and friends first. He loved the Pleasant Grove Community Center and helping with fund raising benefits.
Fred is survived by two brothers, Everett (Norene) Rhodes of Delavan, Illinois, Roy (Gennetta) Rhodes of Hot Spring Arkansas; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends and patrons whom he also considered his family and his (cat) CC and (dog) Stella.
Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Ruby (Myers) Rhodes; sister, Mary (Rhodes) Sutton and brother, Nathen Rhodes.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home of Mountain View is handling the arrangements. A celebration of life will be held at a date to be determined.
Oh Fred I will miss you! Visiting with you was golden. I will keep you in my heart forever.

I miss you so much already. So many memories of our growing up together. Reconnecting after many years apart, so much to catch up on, and we did daily.
