Betty Cooper, 78, of Onia, Arkansas left this world September 9, 2023 and awoke in the arms of her Lord and Savior. She was born May 20, 1945 in Onia, Arkansas to the late Lonnie and Lena (Fletcher) Lawrence.
Betty lived a full and rewarding life. She was a member of Timbo Valley Assembly of God Church where she loved to worship and fellowship with her church family. She loved to shop, paint and cook. She was an excellent writer who was also known to be extremely organized. Her family described her as intelligent, a true conversationalist and very pleasant to be around. She supported a variety of causes, such as, Breast Cancer, Disabled American Veterans and St. Jude's. She enjoyed listening to gospel and country music and loved to drag her family to Randy Travis, Merle Haggard and Mickey Gilley concerts. She was also involved in community service at her church and loved working the elections with two of her younger siblings. She also enjoyed people whatever she was doing. She was an excellent teacher and had a great love for teaching children. She taught at Timbo School for over twenty years where she was loved by many of her students. She was most proud of her grandchildren. They filled her heart with their smiling faces and gave her complete joy. She had the privilege of taking care of Kade frequently and he became the apple of her eye.
Betty is survived by her husband, Bill Cooper; daughter, Sherri (Gary) Smith; son, Gary (Melanie) Fulks; one sister, Martha (Dean) May; one brother, Jimmy Lawrence and a host of grand children; great-grand children; extended family and friends.
Betty is preceded in death by three sisters, Velma Rorie, Ruby Sutterfield and Ann Hedrick and two brothers, Danny Lawrence and DL Lawrence.
All that knew Betty will miss her presence and will look for the day of being reunited with her.
Visitation for Betty Cooper will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Timbo Valley Assembly of God Church in Timbo, Arkansas and the funeral service will follow at 11:00, with Bro David Campbell and Terry Morgan officiating.
Pallbearers are Jon Fulks, Josh Fulks, Grant Guthrie, Jacob Fulks, Cruz Brattin, Aaron Fulks and Ethan Fulks. Honorary pallbearers are Jess Cooper, Cally Basner, Kade Fulks and Junior Barham.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.

We will always remember Mrs. Betty, Mrs. Martha and Mr. Lawrence when we remember our days in school. We have much love and respect for them all and we are praying for the entire family of Mrs. Betty. She was a great lady and she will be missed by everyone in our community.

Our families were always very close. As siblings so many of us were same age, same classes in school. We all went to church together for many years. Lots of love to all her family. The children and grandchildren of Melvin and Retha Brewer
