Guy Brinkley Sr., 88, of Piggott, AR passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023. Guy was born on June 22, 1935 in Tyronza, AR to James and Effie (Milam) Brinkley. Guy received his juris doctorate and practiced law and presided as a judge until retirement. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Piggott. Guy loved to play tennis and was a talented wood craftsman as well as stained glass creator.
Guy is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, William "Billy" Brinkley and a sister, Faye Sawtelle.
Those left to cherish the memory of Guy are his loving wife of 53 years, Janie Brinkley; sons, Guy Brinkley Jr., Clay (Marina) Brinkley, Charlie (Jean) Brinkley and Russ (Karen) Ort; a daughter, Marcelle (Saeed) Nia; a sister, Peggy Phillips and a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
A funeral service will be held at 11am on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at the Chapel in Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro, AR with burial to follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will proceed the service beginning at 9:30 am.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Guy's name to the American Diabetes Association.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, Jonesboro.

Janie, I have been wondering a lot lately how you and Guy were doing, but he did have 88 good years or at least I assume he did. Hope you have not forgotten me from our clinic days. I had great respect for Guy. I hope you are doing well.
