Bonnie H. Gatliff, age 90, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. She was born on January 24, 1933, in LeFlore County, Oklahoma to her late parents, Ed and Maud Wilcox Martin. Bonnie graduated in 1953 from the Baptist Health School of Nursing in Little Rock as a registered nurse and worked in various positions including the VA hospital in Wichita Kansas, the VA hospital in Little Rock, and the Hot Spring County Hospital in Malvern, as well as the Hot Spring County Health Department as a public health nurse.
In 1966 she became the first school nurse for the Malvern Special School District where she served for 10 years. She then worked at Baptist Health Medical Center for over 30 years until her retirement in 2007 at the age of 74. She was an avid gardener and was a member of Chenal Valley Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, George W. Gatliff; one daughter, Cathy Coston and one son, Marty Gatliff (Debbie Duke); three grandchildren, Zachary Gatliff, Camille Coston, and Kathleen Gatliff, and sisters-in-law, Jeri Goodner and Nowita Martin. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Barney Martin (Judy), James Martin, John Martin (Nowita), and Jerry Martin.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Chenal Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Allen Morton officiating. A private burial was held at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery on Friday, September 8, 2023.

Bonnie was a positive Christian influence on all who worked with her at Baptist Health. She set the standard as a Registered Nurse with respect to competence and commitment to her patients. It is an honor to have been her friend. Godspeed Bonnie.

The Gatliffs have been wonderful neighbors and friends of mine here at Parkway. I did not know Bonnie when she was a nurse, but I know she was a good one. She was a gifted gardener and grew beautiful flowers at their home for all to enjoy when they drove or walked by. She also tirelessly planted and tended a long bed of flowers --mainly irises on grounds near their home. Many never knew they were enjoying her handiwork. She brightened the world of all who love flowers. She is missed already. Friends are asking the Lord to help George and her family.
