Martha Carol Elms Blanton of Charlotte, Arkansas, born October 30th, 1948 in Locust Grove AR, passed away August 18th, 2023 in Batesville AR, at the age of 74 and of Church of Christ faith.
Martha had a lifelong love for music and song and also enjoyed dancing as much as she could with the love of her life, Austin. Hunting season would be a time Martha and Austin shared together in the deep woods.
She is survived by her husband, Austin Blanton of Charlotte; one daughter, Clarissa Mourer (Lee) of Batesville; one son, Marty Moreno (Carl Schultz) of Malvern; six grandchildren, Haley Gallant (Hunter), Wilson Mourer (Kassy), Hunter Mourer, Grace Brokaw (Brandon), Molly Mourer and Jenae Blanton; seven great-grandchildren, Heidi, Hattie, Emery, Cohen, Blane, Rosie and Charlotte. Martha also has one surviving sister, Wanda Hankins and two surviving brothers, Evans Elms and William Elms.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, William Dorr Elms and Jewel Irene Cartwright Elms; grandmother, Dora Blevins; one brother, Jimmy Elms and two sisters, Betty Barber and Peggy Holder and step-son, Nathan Blanton.
A visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00am Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Roller Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville. Graveside services will begin at 10:30am Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Locust Grove Cemetery.
