Having worked with Erv at the FBI i found him to be unassuming, self-contained, consensus, easy going and everyone's friend, just a nice guy. One cannot do much better as a human being..
What a privilege it was to call Ervin “friend.†He was so steadfast and faithful - to God first, but also to his beloved family, church and friends. Pat and I are praying for you, Janice and Christie, and for the rest of your family. You are all truly and dearly loved.

Janice - I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Erv! If you remember, I joined the FBI in 1991 as a financial analyst. Erv, of course, trained me. We became very close. I always admired, not only his knowledge, but his kind way of teaching and dealing with all types of people.
I am too far away to make the funeral, but I will be thinking of him and you, and all of your family. I hope your family can be a great comfort to you in the days ahead.
Your friend,
Diane
