On Monday, August 7, 2023, at the age of 95, Geneva was resting peacefully at her loving daughter, Pamela Madole's home in Oklahoma City when her angel came and escorted her through the golden gates of Heaven. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewy and Iva Wallace; her husband, Samuel Henry Carter; her sons, Terry Wallace Carter and Marlon Wade Carter; her brother, JD Wallace and her son-in-law, Jim Madole.

Geneva served her community well over 50 years as the owner/operator of Geneva's Beauty Shop, now known as Grandma's Castle. She attended First Baptist Church of Jasper, Arkansas. She enjoyed being a mother, and grandmother, gardening, reading, sewing, visiting with family and friends, and walking with her neighbors from Jasper. She also enjoyed zooming around on her scooter in Oklahoma City checking on her garden. Until a few months ago she was walking around her circle driveway a couple times per day and getting spoiled by her neighbors.
Geneva's celebration of life was Friday, August 11, 2023, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Raymond White officiating.
Pallbearers were Braydon Dietz, Billy J. Wallace, Larry Fowler, Michael McKinley, David Long, and Brian Easley.
Burial was at the Jasper Cemetery in Jasper, Arkansas.

My condolences to Geneva's family. She was a mainstay of Jasper, very talented at her profession & sweet & kind too. I will always miss her.
Pam and family,
I’m so sorry to learn of Geneva’s passing. I spent many hours in her shop, as did my mother, Betty Petree. Geneva was always so kind and friendly. I can’t remember her without a smile on her face. Prayers of comfort, peace and healing for you all. Rest in Heaven, Geneva.
God Bless, Vicki Petree Stuart
Rest in peace cousin Geneva and tell Sammy hi for me when you meet him again.
Love you Tracy! I'm so sorry.
