Edgar Taplar ''E. T.'' Smith, Jr., 80, of Whitehall, Arkansas went to his Heavenly home on August 3, 2023. He was born January 18, 1943 to the late Edgar Taplar, Sr. and Emily Inez Russell. E. T. was preceded in death by his siblings, Floyed Smith, Hardy Smith, George Smith, Jerry Smith and Nancy Smith. E. T. is survived by his children, Tap (Kerry) Smith of Sadler, Texas, Tobi (Curtis) Massey of England, Arkansas and Stacy (Tammy) Smith of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Jordan, Shelby, Nikki and Parker Smith, Colton (Leksi) Massey, Emily Massey, Samantha and Landon Smith; great-grandchild, Kreed Massey; siblings, Bruce Smith, Martha Fordor, Phillip Smith, Mary Young and Jean Fortenberry and special family friends-The JR Brown Family.
E. T. was a loving father, grandfather, sibling and friend. He served his country proudly as a member of the U. S. Army during the Vietnam war. E. T. later retired from the Pine Bluff Arsenal-all while raising three kids on his own. His happiest days were spent in the garden, at the flea market and with his family. E. T. was a collector of all things and left his family with many treasures.
E. T. will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. The family will receive guests on Tuesday, August 8th from 4-6:00 P.M. at 108 N. E. 6th Street in England, Arkansas.

ET was a sweet man . He was polite to the lady's at JRBrowns moving. He will be missed. Rest in peace ET Smith.
