of Mabelvale, AR
June 20, 1948 - July 30, 2023
Nancy Carol Hastings went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ in late July, 2023.
Nancy was born in June of 1948 in Gurdon, Arkansas to Thomas and Bobbye Dickerson. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jerry and her sister, Becky.
Nancy graduated from Gurdon High where she made lifelong friends whom she remained in regular contact with throughout the years.
Nancy took on many roles during her 75 years, but no role brought her greater joy than that of mother and grandmother. She was so passionate about her grand-kids and telling them stories about family and loved ones they never met. She was an avid reader and a great listener.
Nancy was an independent woman, but was always there when anyone, family or friends, needed anything. She raised her children with loving but firm guidance and she NEVER let you leave a family get-together without taking pictures. She knew the importance of memories and cherishing the small things in life.
She is survived by her sons, Jim (Melissa) Hastings of Conway and Barry (Whitney) Hastings of Bentonville; seven grandchildren, Lindsay, Cassidy, Hunter, Conner, Carson, Austin and Aubrey; her brother, Terry (Julie) Dickerson and several nieces and nephews and former spouse, Don Hastings, although not permanent, they remained friends afterwards.
Nancy was a long-time member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be 11:00am on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 I-30, Little Rock, AR (501) 455-5800.
