Gerald Wayne Joyner Sr, 86, of Searcy passed away on July 31, 2023. He was born to the late Robert Woodrow and Elosie (Miller) Joyner on March 15, 1937 in Judsonia, Arkansas.
He is survived by two sons, Gerald (Beverly) Joyner, JR and Robert (Andra) Joyner both of Searcy; two daughters, Renee (Chris) Norwood of Little Rock and Jessica Joyner of Searcy; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Along with his wife, Angela of 65 years, he was preceded in death by his parents; one great-granddaughter, Whitley Fae Joyner and a sister, Kathryn Adkins.
Gerald was a Civil Engineer by trade and became a successful home builder in the Searcy area. He was on several committees during his career and had been the president of the White County Homebuilders Association.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 12 Noon Friday, August 4, 2023 at St James Catholic Church in Searcy, with entombment to follow at White County Memorial Gardens in Searcy. The family will receive friends for visitation at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home on Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 5:00-6:30PM.
Hello Gerald ( Jerry we called him in school ). Just saw this online for your dad ! So sorry for your loss and prayers for you and the whole family. Seems that there were many places built by your dad over the years. He was a very kind man as I recall and was super liked by many !

Gerald was a good man and well respected in Searcy. He has built lovely homes and businesses in Searcy and will always be remembered favorably Prayers for the family.
