My late husband, Roland, and I met Lylamae Williams as a result of my genealogy research on his family. She was a close childhood friend of his first cousin, Cornelia (Connie) Thompson Williams.
He was not related to her but we felt a kinship with her from the beginning. We thoroughly enjoyed a visit with her in October, 2017. It was nice to meet some of her family and going to church with her that Sunday.

We send condolences to all the family. Mrs. Lylamae was special to us, I remember the wonderful time when they invited us for dinner, about 42 years ago, at their house. Dr. Firmin and Mrs. Lylamae Williams were the kindest people!
God bless and comfort each of you.
Love,
Ray & Cathy Landers

So sorry for your loss, she was such a good friend she loved my brother Buddy Williams they are probably having a good time now...Prayers for the family...
Ms. Lylamae was such a sweet lady and neighbor. It was always such a pleasure to meet her out in the yard and talk to her. Her and my mother loved flowers and were always swapping different flowers/plants with each other and both had beautiful yards. She always had a smile on her face and happy to see you. I haven't seen her in a few years but I will never forget her.
Renee, Lila and family,
I thought so much of your mother. Every time I saw her we had a good visit about whatever happened to be on our minds at the time. We always discussed the weather in Tulsa. If Tulsa got it, we'd get it, or so she always claimed! She was a wonderful person who raised a wonderful family. She left this world a better place.
So sorry for your loss.
OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. We love all the William’s familyâ¤ï¸ðŸ™
