Billy Ray East, 89, of Coal Hill, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, July 22, 2023. He was born October 24, 1933 to his parents, Homer and Bertha (Porter) East. Billy was a member of the Coal Hill Assembly of God Church. He was an auto mechanic and worked for the Singer company and Sara Lee before retiring. He also retired from the Coal Hill Fire Department after serving 25 years.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Virginia East; parents, Homer & Bertha (Porter) East; one brother, Wildon East and one sister, Freda Shavers.
Billy is survived by his sons, Danny (Blenda) East of Lakeland, Florida, Stephen (Tracy) East of Clarksville and Davy (Denise) East of Clarksville; one sister, Dorothy Thomas of Springdale; five grandchildren, Dayla, Jeff, Alex, Lorin and Matt; 12 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at West Mount Zion Cemetery with Pastor John Kindrix officiating. Burial will follow. Services are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home. Online obituary at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/clarksville.

I worked with Billy for many years at The Singer Company. We worked as line repairmen for a few years in close proximity and had a good working relationship! He was always friendly and upbeat, and I considered him a friend! My condolences to the family!

Papaw is going to be missed dearly. I remember growing up, how supportive he was to everyone. Would do anything for anyone in good faith. Now he gets to walk the streets of gold and be with his love. My heart breaks for the East family members. 💔 everyone is in my prayers
