Dacy Joyce Hooten, 87, of Bee Branch, passed from this life to her eternal reward on July 20, 2023 at Clinton, Arkansas. She was born on September 8, 1935 in the Lower Barrens at Higden, Arkansas to Milburn and Exie Bailey. Dacy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Voy Bailey of Leachville, Arkansas; several brothers-in-law and some sisters-in-law.
Dacy married Billy Gean Hooten on December 6, 1955. Dacy is survived by her loving husband, Billy Gean and her daughters, Debbie (Eddie) Goff and Lanita (Darrell) Moore all of Bee Branch. She is also survived by her three grandsons, Kyle (Barbi) Moore, Seth (Hannah) Moore and Evan Goff all of Bee Branch and also survived by great-grandson, Coy Landon Moore and great-granddaughter, Sutton Greer Moore. Dacy is also survived by her brother, Dale Bailey of Oxford, Mississippi; sisters, Vada Ruth Shelton of Brookland, Vernell Birdsong of Greers Ferry, Fern (J.D.) Todd of Greers Ferry and brother, Jim (Kathy) Bailey of Velvet Ridge, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Dacy was a long-time member of Pine Mountain General Baptist Church of Damascus. She was a model of Christian faith and maintained a Christian home. Dacy and Bill also spent many hours at their "shop" or flea market and at auctions and would get acquainted with people and then invite them to church.
She enjoyed meeting and talking to people. Dacy worked at several jobs including Sterling's and Gibson's in Conway, Collum's Model Market in Bee Branch and Thriftway in Clinton. She also enjoyed sewing and did some sewing for the public. Dacy loved working with people and helping to meet their needs. She had a big heart for both people and for animals of all kinds.
Her favorite pastimes included going to auctions, going to the Amish community near Arthur, Illinois, raising beef cattle and donkeys, operating "Granny's Playhouse" flea market, trips to Branson, gardening, her cats and dogs, sewing and crocheting.
Pallbearers are Kyle Moore (grandson), Seth Moore (grandson), Evan Goff (grandson), Darryl Birdsong (nephew), Michael Todd (nephew) and Tommy Cauley. Honorary pallbearers are Darrin Birdsong (nephew), Anthony Bailey (nephew) and Coy Landon Moore (great-grandson).
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 10:00 am at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton. Burial will follow at the Blackwell Cemetery near Bee Branch.
The family extends sincere appreciation to the staff of Ozark Health Nursing and Rehab for the care provided for almost four years for Dacy.

Dacy and I grew up together at Higden,AR. and were in the same classes in school,and good friends,before there was a Greers Ferry Lake,at Higden,or Lower Barnes, Great Memories.!!
I will forever remember how special it was watching Mr. Bill with Mrs. Dacy. That kind of love and devotion is rare these day. It was truly an honor to be a small part of their lives as Mrs. Dacy’s Chaplain. I loved her dearly.
