Patricia Ann (Geels) Schluterman, 91, of Subiaco, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023 in Charleston, Arkansas. She was born on March 28, 1932 in Subiaco to her parents, Paul Bernard and Mary Magdalene (Wewers) Geels.
Patricia was a dedicated homemaker and retired from the United States Post Office in Subiaco. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and Mother's Society in Subiaco, was an avid Subiaco Trojan and Arkansas Razorback fan and loved to bake.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Emil Schluterman; one daughter, Margaret Ann Schluterman; one son, Lawrence Schluterman; one grandson, David Schluterman; one daughter in law, Lorri Schluterman; one sister, Carole Geels and one brother, Fabian Geels.
She is survived by two daughters, Janie Karns and husband, Jeff of Charleston and Judy Schlaf and husband, Kenny of Subiaco; six sons, Michael "ML" Schluterman and wife, Linda of Fort Smith, Charles Schluterman and wife, Debbie of Scranton, Victor Schluterman and wife, Sylvia of Subiaco, Vincent Schluterman of Subiaco, Justin Schluterman and wife, Kathy of Subiaco and Walter Schluterman and wife, Shilo of Hartford; one sister, Theresa Klein and husband, Fred of Tulsa; three brothers, Daniel Geels and wife, Joanie of Seattle, Washington, James Geels and wife, Eve of Dallas, Texas and Gerald Geels and wife, Lois of Carrolton, Texas; 22 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Rosary service will be held at 7:45 p.m. on Monday, July 17, 2023 at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Subiaco.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Subiaco officiated by Fr. Mark Stengel, O.S.B.. Burial will follow in St. Benedict Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Ryan Schluterman, Chad Schluterman, Jessica Underwood, Joey Schluterman, Jacob Schluterman, Ashley Jackson, Eli Schluterman, Kya Schluterman and Emily Schlaf.
Honorary pallbearers will be the remainder of her grandchildren.
Gifts in memory of Patricia may be made to Subiaco Academy Tuition Assistance, 405 North Subiaco Ave, Subiaco, AR 72865.
The family would like to thank the staff of Greenhurst Nursing Center for their compassionate care during Patricia's stay.
