Donna Lynn (Weld) Tolewitzke of Jonesboro, AR, born on September 29,1961, gracefully bid farewell to this world on July 11,2023. She leaves a profound legacy of love, kindness and a deep passion for life.
Donna was born in Chicago, Illinois to her adoring father, William Weld, who now resides in Bono, AR. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Margaret Weld of Batesville, AR. Donna's upbringing provided her the privilege of experiencing life in various places, each holding its own significance in their journey. From Chicago, IL to Fisher and Cave City, AR; these locations became part of their shared memories and the tapestry of their lives.
She will be deeply missed by her sister, Leah Weld of Bono, AR, who shared a unique and treasured bond. She will also be missed by her brother, John Weld of Little Rock, AR. The siblings share memories that are a testament to the strength of their connection.
Donna was a cherished wife, having spent 31 beautiful years of marriage alongside her loving husband, Tim Tolewitzke. Together, they built a loving home in Jonesboro, AR, where they raised a family together. They built a life filled with laughter, companionship and unwavering support for one another.
Donna's devotion as a mother was unmatched, as she lovingly raised three children, Robert (Alison) Piercy of Paragould, AR, C. Nicole (Piercy) Phillips of Jonesboro, AR and Brent Piercy of San Francisco, CA. She also embraced her role as a bonus mother to Rachel (Patrick) Gillespie of Brookland, AR and Andrea (Jeremy) Bertschy of Fayetteville, AR. Donna's nurturing nature and unwavering support served as a guiding light for all her children, leaving an indelible mark on their lives.
As a grandmother to 12 beautiful grandchildren, Donna's heart overflowed with joy. Her love and wisdom will continue to inspire and guide each one of them.
Donna had an incredible skill for seeing and creating beauty around her. A true artist, she often filled the house with beautifully performed classical pieces on the piano. Those close to her cherished intricately crocheted pieces of art that she would give so freely to brighten their day. As a Master Gardener her green thumb and eye for design brought smiles to the faces of anyone that got to see the fantastic flowers, rest under perfectly placed trees, or enjoy the delicious food from her garden. Anyone around her could always see that she had a gift for making the world a brighter and richer place.
Donna's wish for a private farewell serves as a reminder that she valued the quiet moments of reflection and cherished the intimate connections with her loved ones. It was her desire not to have a public service. While her loved ones gather to remember her and celebrate her life in their own personal ways, they will honor her request for a private farewell. This intimate gathering will provide an opportunity for those closest to Donna to find peace, share stories and find comfort in each others' presence.
Donna Tolewitzke will forever be remembered as a remarkable individual whose kindness, love and passion touched the lives of countless people. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and beauty that will continue to inspire and resonate with all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her gentle spirit find eternal peace and may her memory be a source of solace and inspiration for all who mourn her loss.

From the time she was born, Donna and I had a special bond. She was the baby sister that I never had. The Doyles and the Welds were very close during their time in IL. Of course, distance changed all that when the Welds returned to ARK. Donna and I always stayed in touch. I will always cherish the time she and Tim drove up to Illinois just so she could see my store. That MAY be the last time I saw her in person. Sadly, I had no idea she was dealing with cancer. I thought she had beaten it so I am devastated by this shocking loss. Prayers for her and her entire family, my cousins.

Prayers go out to the family Donna leaves behind, they are strong women and I know even the strongest ones hurt, we are here for anything you need, Donna had made some coconut chocolate something for Christmas the 1st year I was at the switchboard at SBRMC, and I begged her to make more , she made me something the next year , but it was a stocking , I will forever , though, have the recipe she emailed me for those delicious, unforgettable chocolate coconut treats.

Ms. Donna was an amazing person. She guided my sister so much at a time when she needed a momma at college and early life as an adult. Ms. Donna even comforted me when my sister passed and shared sweet memories.
