Martha, better known as Sybil Gaskill, ran her race, kept the course, and reached her goal of a home in heaven. She passed away in her home on July 5, 2023, with family surrounding her with loving arms.
Sybil was the fourth child of seven born to Ernest and Carrie Kimball Anderson of Waldo (Lamartine), Arkansas. She was preceded in death by all her siblings; her first husband, Edward Sewell, and second husband, James Gaskill, both ministers for the Church of Christ. She also suffered the loss of a son, Stephen Sewell to MS.
She is survived by three daughters, Teresa Barrett and husband, Allen, Trudie Young and husband, Doug and Susie Garland and husband, Courtney all of Harrison, and a son, Hugh Gaskill and wife, Michelle of Elk Grove, CA.
Sybil has nine grandchildren, Stephen Barrett and wife, Jennifer, Sheila James and husband, Jeff, Taesha Winford and husband, Chalin, Andee Farmer and Alex Farmer all of Harrison; Jonathan Sewell and wife, Lauren of Nashville, TN, Jacob Sewell of Danville, Kentucky, Tia and Marvin Lopez of Grand Junction, CO and Dalton Young of Kansas City, MO. She was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
Sybil worked with her first husband in the mission field in Ecuador and Spain. She was a servant in the work of the Lord in all parts of her life and was a dedicated member of the Church of Christ.
She was the sunshine of her family and could make the best coconut cream pies. She loved to sing and had a song to fit every occasion.
Sybil was laid to rest in a private family graveside service. Visitation was Sunday, July 9, 2023.
A sincere and special thanks to Legacy Hospice. Their care was unsurpassed. A special thanks to Dr. Chitsey and NARMC for their medical care.

Proverbs 3:15
She is more precious than jewels;
And nothing you desire compares with her.
We are so sorry for your loss.
Sybil will always be remembered for her faithfulness and how she greeted everyone at all services. I will especially remember how she always visited with Olivia.
Martha Sybil Kimbell Gaskill was my aunt. She came from a large family raised during the 'Depression' in our nation's history after World War I, when life was hard and times were tough. My dad, Roy Kimbell, was the eldest child and nurtured his younger siblings, helping to supply their needs and looking after them, like a big brother. He always spoke graciously of his sister, Sybil, and admired her for her wit and spirit. As an adult, married to Uncle Ed, she lived a life dedicated to serving the Lord and her family. Because they lived in far away places, I didn't see Aunt Sybil and her family very often, but when they came to visit, our families came together and we had a great time. She was a loving, beautiful person and one that I felt proud to call my aunt. I know that her entire family will always cherish the memories shared with her. Rest in peace, Aunt Sybil. We were all blessed to have known you and you will be missed.
Aunt Sybil was blessed to live a long happy life and have a large loving family. A good life in every way.
Teresa, so sorry for you and your family's loss. I know what you're going through. Always remember the good times! Love you.
So sorry to hear of your mothers passing. Sending prayers of comfort to you and your family.
I am so very sorry for your loss. Sending prayers to your Family during this difficult time.
