Donald Eugene Christian, 72, of Timbo, Arkansas passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 3, 2023. Donald was born on Tuesday, August 29, 1950 in Forrest City, Arkansas to Elmer and Maxine Christian.
Mr. Christian served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a Chief Warrant Officer. He also served in the First Calvary as a Huey Pilot serving two tours. Mr. Christian was a two-time recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross.
After his time in the service he was a thirty-five year member of Iron Workers Local #1 of Chicago. Upon retirement he moved to Timbo, Arkansas in 2006. Don was an avid fisherman and black powder enthusiast and owner of many English Bulldogs.
Left to cherish his memory are his best friend and wife, Joni Christian; father, Elmer Christian; sons, Don Christian (Candice) of Indiana, Chris Christian of Florida, Jason Christian of Florida, Mark Butcher of California and sister-in-law, Jamie Christian.
Donald is preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Christian and brother, Terry Christian.
A service will be scheduled at a later date.
Don was a hero of the Vietnam War and went through a lot. He was a friend of mine and I will miss him.
