Douglas William Derby, age 83, of Flippin, Arkansas passed away Friday, June 30, 2023 in Yellville.
Douglas was born January 1, 1940 in Rockford, Illinois to Leonard and Merle (Garkey) Derby. He had lived in the area since 1975 and was a member of First Baptist Church in Bull Shoals. He enjoyed traveling and bowling. He loved doing most anything outdoors, including fishing, camping, hunting mushrooms, cutting wood, working in his wood workshop, and boating. He loved his dogs like there were his children. He loved the Lord.
Mr. Derby is survived by his wife, Teressa, of the home; his son, Daniel William Derby ''Dan'' (Donna) of Owasso, Oklahoma; his stepson, Mark Wilkins of Carlton, Georgia; his daughter, Julie Watson (''Dick'') of Mt. Morris, Illinois; his grandchildren, Adam Derby (Justine), Lauren Hill (Patrick), Jay Watson (Jessie), Bryan Watson, Faith McNamee (Sean), Bree Wilkins, Trinity Wilkins, Christopher Wilkins (Megan), Courtney Wilkins (James), Carson Wilkins, Caleb Wilkins, Ashlyn Wilkins and sixteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Keith Wilkins.
A graveside service will be 10:00 am Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Fairview Cemetery near Flippin with Pastor John Norvell and Bro Jerry Backus officiating.
Arrangements are by Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville.
