Treva Pearl West passed away on June 19, 2023 at the age of 99. She was born in Marianna on September 22, 1923 to Charles Raymond and Eva Carlow West.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Donald Moody West and Charles R. West, Jr.; two sisters, Ruth West Higginbothom and Nita West Dillaha. She is survived by her sister, Sara Hope Burnside of Beaumont Texas.

She was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Marianna for over 70 years.

Treva lived her entire life in Lee County except while attending college in Missouri and Florida. She was a legal secretary for the Daggett Law Firm in Marianna for over 45 years were she enjoyed her work with all of the attorneys but especially being the assistant to Jimason Daggett. Treva was known by all to be a grumpy morning person and Jimason said he never spoke to her until after lunch.

Treva was never married but lived a great social life with her many dear friends going to Razorback games, parties, dancing and cooking, in which she excelled. She was also know as a frank talker and often did not have a filter in her conversations. The family always waited with anticipation when she spoke, especially around those who did not know her well.

Much of her life revolved around her nieces and nephews, who she endeared herself to and whom she gave special attention their entire lives. She was affectionally called Teetaw by them and will be missed by all who dearly loved her.

The family would like to especially thank Carroll Mitchusson, Caroline Walton, Versie Lee and the entire staff of Elite Hospice for their loving care the last two years.

A graveside service will be held Friday at 11:00am in Marianna Memorial Park with Father Travis Frank officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Community Foundation of Lee County Dog Pound Fund, 130 Robertson Avenue, Marianna 72360 or St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, P. O. Box 241, Marianna 72360. Services directed by Roller Citizens of Marianna.
