of Onia, AR
November 7, 1933 - June 12, 2023
Delpha Dene Moore Passmore was born November 7, 1933 to Willis Moore and Tina Balentine Treat Moore at home in Onia, AR. She entered the gates of heaven on June 12, 2023 in Springdale, AR.
Delpha accepted Christ as her savior at an early age and she continued to serve the Lord throughout the rest of her life. She became a preacher's wife on July 19, 1952 when she married Lester Passmore and she supported his ministry until his death in 2013. Often, Delpha stayed home to tend the home fire while Lester traveled to surrounding communities sharing the Gospel.
Delpha spent many years teaching school. She retired after 36 years from Timbo Schools where she taught second grade for many years. In her later years when memories started to fade, she would often say "I don't know who they are, but I know I had them in 2nd grade."
Delpha's most treasured role was mother and grandmother. Before her health declined, her most favorite thing to do was to gather her family together. She loved and served her family selflessly and she would have gladly included more into her fold given the chance. Even when the living room was filled to bursting at the seams, there was always room for one more.
Delpha is preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Tina Moore; husband, Lester Passmore and sister, Hazel Moore Lee.
She is survived by her children, Tim Passmore of Lonsdale AR, Tony & Jami Passmore of Onia, AR; grandchildren, Kyle & Regina Passmore of Onia, AR, Cody and Alexa Passmore of Mountain View, AR, Bret & Haley Passmore of Belleville, AR, Garrett Passmore of Searcy, AR, Luke Henriksen of Fayetteville AR, Kelle Passmore of Mountain View, AR, Carrie and Tyler Wilson of Rogers, AR; 12 great grandchildren; her sister, Wylidene Treat Brewer of Newkirk, OK; her sister-in-law, Pauline Tomlinson of Pekin, IL; many nieces, nephews, cousins and her dear cousin and best friend, Arlene George who has provided care and companionship to Delpha for several years.

My condolences to Miss Delpha’s boys, Tim and Tony and to her extended family and friends. She was a light in my heart as a loving neighbor during the summers I was lucky enough to spend in Onia as a kid. I will cherish memories of her ready smile and contagious laugh. She taught me to read and I credit her with sparking imagination, one of her magical abilities for so many children. She introduced me to frozen strawberries as dessert, instant potatoes were simply not allowed and the fact that readers are leaders. I will keep these happy memories and remember her voice forever. Love to all of your family Delpha, you are loved, remembered, respected and emulated. Love from Natalie
