Obituary
Mary Day Wilson died on June 5th, 2023. Mary grew up as a sharecropper in northern Louisiana and relocated to Little Rock in 1960 from Bastrop, Louisiana. She started with the Arkansas State Hwy Dept in August 1960 and retiring in June 2002 with 42 years of service.
Mary was a religious woman who enjoyed singing in the choir and assisting in leading her Sunday school class at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church.
Mary is survived by her grandson Christopher L. Day; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Michelle Day; and her great grandchildren, Christian Alexander Day and Kiley Faith Day.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lucile McVicker; and her son Stuart Randall ''Randy'' Day.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 9th, 2023 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Arkansas 72209, (501)455-5800. Burial will follow at Martin Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 P.M. Friday leading into the service at the funeral home. The Family ask in leu of flowers, please consider a donation to her church family at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church in her honor.
Mary was special friend, she always made you feel welcome. I met her while working at Arkansas Highway Department,she will be missed.
We are truly sorry for your family and you, Chris. Our hearts go out to y’all. It is a joyous occasion now that she is able to see her family in heaven. She was a beautiful and gracious woman and she will be missed. We love y’all.

Mary was a special friend that I truly enjoyed very much.
She always had a smile and kind words for everyone she met.

I had the privilege of working with Mary near the beginning of my engineering career at the Highway Department. She inspired me with her professionalism and kindness. I always enjoyed visiting with her and am thankful our paths crossed and we became friends. My family will be praying for your peace and comfort in the days ahead.
