Glen Edward Wren, 76, died on Friday, June 2, 2023 in his home in Batesville.
He was born July 4, 1946 in Batesville to Alvis Oscar Wren and Jannie Marie Willis Wren.
He enlisted in the Army in 1964. He served our country for three years. He received a Bachelor of Science degree at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was a mentor and salesman for his entire career.
He had a beautiful voice and his daughters have fond memories of him singing in the choir. He was a kind, loving husband, always attentive to his wife's wishes. He was known by all as a good and kind man. He tried every day to show her how much he loved her.
He had a love of animals. He spent thousands of dollars and devoted his time to feeding homeless cats. He referred to himself as "The Feeder".
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvis and Jannie Wren; step-daughter, Deanna Dowell of Little Rock and brother, Wesley O. Wren, Sr. of Batesville.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Greenfield Wren; two daughters, Lorie Schroeck and her husband, Ted of Denver, Colorado and Sarah Woods and husband, Mike of Gainesville, Florida; two grandchildren, Katie Schroeck and Ryan Schroeck. He is survived by Harold Wren of Cushman and sister-in-law, Barbara Wren of Batesville and many nieces and nephews and copious friends.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00am Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at Pleasant Valley Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home with Wesley Wren, Jr. officiating.
Memorials may be made in his honor to Independence County Humane Society, 5 Environmental Drive, Batesville, AR 72501.

Glen was a good brother in law and a good person. We all loved him. He made our family better by being a member of it.

Glen was a fine man who had such a loving heart love to give and loved his chocolate, and till we meet again
