Rita Hall Allender, 72, of Batesville passed away May 24, 2023.
She was born September 5, 1950 in Mount Pleasant to Roland and Hazel Collene (Haddock) Hall.
Rita's family was her world and she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She worked as a cake decorator at Kroger for 24 years, winning numerous awards for cake decorating. She was a wonderful wife and mother who put others before herself. Rita enjoyed going to yard sales, working with the flowers in her yard and loved to go night fishing.
Survivors include her husband, whom she married on May 31, 1968, Bobby Allender; her mother, Hazel Hall; two sons, Brady Allender (Julie Branscum) of Batesville, Blake Allender (Brandy) of Batesville; one brother, Cliff Hall (Maureen) of Bethesda; one sister, Debbie O'Neal; five grandchildren, Carson Allender, Jacob Branscum, Emma Allender, Hunter Fryman, Jordan Fryman; two great-grandchildren, Sophia Grace Fryman, Halen Fryman, as well as several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Pallbearers are Shane Wood, Scott Wood, Tyler Wood, Brad Allender, Adam Lafera, Chris Lafera and Carson Allender.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 2:00pm at Oaklawn Cemetery with Bro. Curt Howard officiating.
Memorials may be made in her honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105, or to Arkansas Children's Hospital, 1 Children's Way, Little Rock, AR 72202.
I am so sad to learn of Rita's passing. Went to school with her at Mt. Pleasant and she & Bobby were our neighbors for many years on Westside. She was a precious friend and always had that beautiful smile on. Lifting you all up in prayer today & in the days to come.

From picking me every day from school and good will trips and Cherry pie and yard sale. This amazing woman loves her family more than anything and will be missed so much. She would have done anything for her family even if that means cleaning chili out of her brand new rug or helping someone. She was amazing and we love you to the moon and further.
